Why not both? Do you really believe that nobody is at odds with their reality being fundamentally different that what's reported? Interesting update.

I don't know how true any of it was, but in the immediate aftermath there were a lot of claims that Crooks had some mental problems. One source (I think it was someone on Reddit claiming to be a classmate, but it may have been one of the interviews) said that he had issues and that his parents wouldn't let him take any medication. After the recent case in Michigan where parents, who the government argued should have known better than to give their son a weapon (Crooks at least used his father's rifle and was allowed to take it to shooting ranges and there have been some claims that he purchased the gun from his father), were charged for their role in a school shooting. I'd lawyer the fuck up as well if I were him.

The theory is that the nebulous they want Trump to win because things are getting bad, the crash is coming, and they want to be able to blame it on the republicans. So they're running a deliberately slipshod campaign with a known charisma vacuum as a nominee because they don't think they can actually win and only have to make it look like they tried.

I don't believe that as much as the Democrats put themselves in an absolute shit position and none of the better candidates are willing to blow their shot in what already looks like a bad year. A competing theory (that I consider more likely) is that they're just trying to fund raise as much as they can now before everyone finds out that the emperor has no clothes again. If Harris does as bad in the debate as Joe, the money is going dry up fast.

Certainly not with their own base, but those TDS brain-rotted idiots will vote blue no matter who and have already isolated themselves to the point that there isn't anyone in their lives that could drag them out. I think a lot of independents have been put off by it though, particularly when so many of the attempts have failed to produce anything or would up exposing worse behavior from the prosecution as in the Georgia case. At the very least it has made people realize that all of the legal attacks on Trump are probably equally bullshit and have ruined an avenue of attack against him that would otherwise be effective with independent voters.

If people leave the MSM to get their information from somewhere else, where will it be? Most people don't like having their mindset or world view changed too much, let alone swung in the opposite direction politically, unless they were brainwashed to join the other side in the first place.
