I have to doubt the 40% number. I personally know lots of libertarians and have encountered many libertarians through various media sources - exceedingly few could be described as being of the Mises variety. OTOH, perhaps the definition of “Mises Libertarian“ has been radically expanded.

Schools in two states experiencing a rise in Covid cases announced they were closing facilities and switching to remote learning.
Alabama and Tennessee announced the closure of two schools — affecting more than a thousand children — just days into the new academic year, with officials saying the virus had forced them to shut and carry out a 'deep clean



Can someone check who is doing these decisions in Alabama and Tennessee?

Red state, blue state ... Doesn't matter: The American public school system has been completely infiltrated and compromised by commies who want to brainwash your children.

My question is this: Where the hell are the angry parents in Alabama and Tennessee?! They should be protesting in front of these schools, being as loud and as "Karen-like" as possible.

Conservatives talk a big game about "never again" in terms of complying with Covid-1984, but look at this shit.

Like I understand times are tough all over, but people are just mindless idiots about this even in the best of times. Muh need free babysitter from the gubmint so I can work muh job. What they're raping the kids and stapling furnace filters to their mouths and noses? Oh well. KiDs aRe rEsiLienT! Muh job. Muh can't call out.

I'd live in a tent before allowing my kids to be tortured by government employees, but, well, I posted here all the way through the Tor exclusive era, so I'm an outside the box sort, and so are most of you.

The twenty second amendment to the constitution says
Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Section 2. This Article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission to the states by the Congress.

No person can be elected to the office of President more than twice. To be elected to the office of president, you have to be selected by a majority of electors from the states or by a vote in the house of representatives. The electors from the states in 2020 put forward Joe Biden as president. Meaning Donald Trump wasn't elected to the office of president in 2020. And furthermore, you can win the popular vote and the electoral vote and still be denied the presidency by faithless electors. Electors aren't bound to vote for whoever was selected by the public.

All the democrats would be doing by coming out and saying "we stole the 2020 election, here's proof!" is handing Trump the loaded gun he needs to remove them. It would vindicate the right, destroy the left's narrative and end the democrat party. It's like placing a landmine, arming in and than stepping on it. Which is why it would be peak clown world for them to do so.

Last I heard, the parents that raised issues with the school boards were investigated by the FBI as being part of domestic terror cells. I don't know what came of that but you don't see the news covering PTA meetings anymore.

As someone that grew up in one of these areas, I can explain why you may not see as many people angry in Alabama or Tennessee or other red states, when I went to school, my teachers (from elementary school all the way up to high school) were local, either living in the county or maybe in a neighboring county and they were all usually from the state instead of being from some lefty shithole, they were largely conservative minded and while I haven't been back to school since I graduated I imagine this system is still in place where I lived. So, depending on the areas they live in they may have their children going to school with little actual trouble because the teachers there aren't demented ghouls trying to turn the kids into drones that worship the state.

But we sort of already have a situation a bit like that. Trump has already been President once and wasn't Hitler and did on OK job considering the Democrats and even some Republicans were trying and often succeeding in blocking the things that he (and the public) wanted to do. And the economy was much better than now. But it's all being completely dismissed.
