The only reason why Anony was ousted from the community was the fact he did the mod leaks.

One begs to question.... with how resistant was he to ban Derich how much would it have taken to ban Anony.

Disavowing a known pedo is such a slam dunk and would earn respect from literally everyone, even detractors. The fact that he hesitated at all is just so pathetic, even for phil.

It makes sense if you put it into the proper context. Owning the detractors ranks really, really high in Phil's daily priorities as he goes through life. It occupies so much brain space that he was literally unable to process how bad it looks for an outsider to see him go to bat for a pedo. In his mind, he's just following basic common sense and everyone should agree with him that preventing a scenario where "the trolls win" is a greater good than banning a pedo.

P.S I doubt most of the tractors here or outside of KF will respect him for banning Derich even if he immediately did it during the KF/Null conversation. He's been made aware of it by multiple people including his unironic fans and he always defended Derich and there was really no excuse for only reluctantly doing it because your new internet boyfriends and their army of paypiggies might get cross with you if you didn't.

I wouldn’t call that hesitation, hesitation would be like Phil asking for proof and then banning him, which is fair.
What Phil did is try to contort himself into any possible way he doesn’t have to ban Derich and give the trolls a win.

Phil's stance through all of this was that if you searched Derich's behavior at all, you're mentally ill. While his Discord was for informing Phil if anyone dare popped up on a detractor chat.

There were multiple fake Derich's yesterday. How do we know he banned the real one? Would be a DSP move to just ban the first Derich and claim it's been done..

Many people pretend to be Derich, and that will increase tenfold now. We will never know if he's truly gone.

I will say this: considering Null runs a site where Phil is mocked daily, sometimes hourly, he showed up for the discussion anyway, something that were I in his position I would never do for a number of reasons. I’m sure having other people there to hold his hand helped (whether their actual intentions were pure or not) and I’m sure if he didn’t have the thought himself someone else let him know exactly how bitchmade he’d appear if he backed out, but he still went through with it. Compared to how much integrity and spine he typically shows, that was a difficult ask. He’s flaked on much less threatening stuff with more on the line to gain in the past.

He's known for years about Derich's interest in children and not only never banned him, Derich has made channel content and, no matter how much he spammed chat, Phil shielded him. When he saw the evidence years ago, he should have banned him without the word "detractor" even being mentioned. Then defending Derich yesterday (with the "he's a murderer but he didn't murder anyone right in front of me so it's okay" argument) until finally caving because KC practically demanded he ban came off as sleazy as possible.

And then right after that he lectured Null specifically and this site in general for being immoral, but if Phil doesn't project and be hypocritical in every other sentence his day isn't complete.

Literally Phil did the discussion because he heard how much Null hates the DSP board. KC gassed him up, and he’s been riding so high he thought he was gonna get a pity party with Null where they could bond over and agree that all his detractors ARE mentally ill and you know what Phil? I think I WILL shut down that little sub forum! That’s what his goal was. Didn’t work out too well in reality tho lol

I'm still in shock Phil tried defending Derich for 15 minutes. It took PPP saying you can trust us that we verified the pedo behavior to get him to finally make a call. This was such an easy win for Phil and he instead shit all over himself. I don't think most people even get it. DSP, having known about the allegations for at least a couple of years, defended a known pedo because it might (this was his first justification) give the detractors a win. And when he finally caves and says he'll do it, he said it's sad. It's sad to ban a pedo from his chat. And then I see clips of Phil trying to change the narrative that Derich is just a stream chatter, nothing more. Nigger, what? Just a few things off the top of my head:

• Preferential treatment in chat. So much so that he yelled at other regulars multiple times to get over it, just block him and stop talking about it or THEY would be banned for bringing it up. Again, multiple times.
• Had him make at least two tier makers which proves "behind the scenes" interactions with Derich.
• Can't remember when, but in one of his rants to others about Derich's chat behavior he said he had spoken to him about it and he would work on it which shows even more behind the scenes communication.
• Confirmed in this interview that he was made aware of the allegations for years but never took any action. (Some plausibility is due here, see the end of this).
• Brian confirmed that he talked to Phil about it, that there were justifications given and that he knew, but wouldn't go into detail. So this would mean even without Phil admitting he knew for years he knew for at least a couple of months and took no action.
• Called Jasper (his catson) Derich at least once. This one is weird as well because he wasn't looking at the chat when he did this, he was looking at the cat. So in his head, he associated his catson (his phrase for Jasper) with Derich. Fucking weird even if he wasn't a pedo.
• The thumbnails - While outright denied by Phil, the timing matched with Derich's vacation. This does not mean it is confirmed but it is circumstantial. The above is more than enough.

I'm sure I'm missing something. But Phil's current talking point about him just being a stream chatter is bullshit and even his actual dents know that. His response to all of this is fucking absurd, even for him.

I also want to be fair. Phil is 100% right that he is not responsible for his chatters and has absolutely no obligation to know about them and their personal lives. I couldn't agree more. But, when you are made aware of someone being a pedophile and you are provided with evidence, your response should be to ban them and say they should buy a rope and utilize it. We don't know 100% what he knew and when he knew it, but we know how he reacted on Kino yesterday. Null gave a great example that is basically the same thing. I was not aware of that, but Null didn't care that is gave Nick a win. Its a pedophile, you don't defend them because it might give someone else a win against you. So much for "muh morals" I guess.

Also in the screenshot with his pedo playlists there's a playlist that says "DSPGaming using my fanart woo!". Maybe. I’d judge that based on how much shit he talks bout Null and KF today, or whenever he streams next. If he’s a petty cunt about it then yeah, I could see him having gone in expecting to make another new BFF. Phil loves to hide behind the moral crusade he's doing for justifications and reasonings for his actions and words. Catholic upbringing for charity is another example. These past two weeks shown that it's just that, excuses. He doesn't really follow the things he saids and is willing to dump it on a dime to essentially sell out. The dude would rather do this than take a corpo sponsorship.

Since this came out, more evidence has come out like Phil's discord pfp recently and how Phil's tips always line up with the spending in game since you basically convert money to points in the game. Also we're up to 150k now.

To add to what Skippy said above, I think myself and others have a habit of leaving off his defense of Derich when talking about why Phil is so easy to hate. For some reason it almost just doesn’t seem real, or seems out of character even for a guy like Phil. It’s the begging, lying, scamming, etc that always takes center stage in my mind at least because it’s always happening, and it feels weird to go “and yeah he also harbors someone he knows to be a pedophile”. It’s a claim that almost makes you sound unhinged to present as if true, but it really is exactly the case which is just wild.

In short, it may be the worst thing Phil has done overall, but largely flies under the radar because of Phil’s more obvious or consistent flaws.
