This is a chicken or the egg discussion that I don't really care to have. Not in this thread, at least. They don't have widespread education because they're retarded, not the other way round.
Excuse me for being extremely sceptical at man in the current year claiming a woman who is a mother rejecting fully paid private schooling by him with some bs reason its religious. The person you're responding to is probably American, and lives in the Year of Our Lord, Twenty Twenty Four, so if he mentions the words "fat ex-wife" and "kids" that means he is almost certainly telling the truth about his ex-wife being fat. The other claims may be less likely, but come on dude! Be reasonable in what you claim is doubt-worthy!
It wasn't Hannity that said it:I didn't really start using the Internet until the beginning of the 2000's, so that's where all my nostalgia comes from.
I listen to Hannity on the AM frequently and he is very pro-Trump. What most likely happened here is you turned on the broadcast after he already mentioned the debate stuff and either you missed him talking about Harris's team trying to change the rules, or he slipped up and didn't mention that context. It could also be that you were listening to an older show when he didn't have that information.
No slam on Hannity (although I don't care to listen to his show) but my comment was pointed at Townhall.com framing it as Trump was the one with the problem when it's Kamala being ridiculous. I'm sure Hannity has nothing to do with Townhall.com's reporting, which I've always thought was solid until now. Maybe it still is and this is a one off but I doubt it, I don't trust anything anymore.I was reluctantly listening to Hannity on the radio yesterday and the newsbreak from Townhall.com stated that the debate was in jeopardy because Trump was criticizing ABC. Next sentence was that his team and Kamala's were still hammering out the details. Then I come here and read that she wants notes and a seated debate, which wasn't mentioned during the newsbreak from a conservative news site on a conservative radio show on a conservative radio network. That is the state of journalism, frens.
Ah, my bad. Thank you for clarifying. It wasn't Hannity that said it:
in america, liberal white women hate private school because pretty much all private schools available to them religious. there's also been an effort by the teachers unions to frame any kind of school choice (whether that's charter schools or private schools) as being icky because when public schools lose students they get less funding and private schools can actually kick out problem students which is unfair to niggers and illegalsEvery single libshit politician if they can afford it, they send their kids to private schools but, i should believe some single mom of two will say no to free private school.
I'm just sayin' that if an American guy on the internet at any point in the 21st Century mentioned the words "fat ex-wife" I'd just automatically take him at his word on the ex-wife being fat, no questions asked. Doubting all sorts of things is reasonable...but doubting that some random formerly married American woman is fat? Come on!Excuse me for being extremely sceptical at man in the current year claiming a woman who is a mother rejecting fully paid private schooling by him with some bs reason its religious.
I am not buying it, that line was pushed by public schools unions because they were eating into their student population whos their budgets and jobs depends on it. The spearheading for school choice is mostly women who actually give a shit what their kids learn. Let me repeat myself the head of the public school union who pushed that line had their kids in the private school. Nobody buys into this shit but the most deranged activists bdp libshits.in america, liberal white women hate private school because pretty much all private schools available to them religious. there's also been an effort by the teachers unions to frame any kind of school choice (whether that's charter schools or private schools) as being icky because when public schools lose students they get less funding and private schools can actually kick out problem students which is unfair to niggers and illegals
this is yet another culture war front that's cropped up in the last decade that white women have fallen for hook, line, and sinker. it's probably not obvious looking in from europe because you most likely either have almost no private schools or it's an obvious choice to go to private school if you can afford it
The head of the Chicago Teachers Union who has described school choice as "the choice of racists" sends her son to a private school.
Again the question must be asked: WHY AREN'T YOU DOING THAT NOW?
mean tweets at libs = goodVulgarity is not, SHOULD NOT, be a political position. I already deal with unhinged women that cannot control your mouth. Why would I want to vote for somebody like that? There are better ways to illicit a response.
the head of the union is part of the special people. they get special rules and benefits. the lower down peons who buy into the propaganda are the ones who send their children to the shitty schools to sacrifice their families for the greater good. and they do so willinglyLet me repeat myself the head of the public school union who pushed that line had their kids in the private school. I definitely see the value in public education, but there is a lot wrong with the public school system in the US. To the point where I'm genuinely considering just homeschooling my future children because of it. Teaching to the test, critical race theory and other propoganda in the curriculum, focusing on the lowest common denominator, teaching one way to do things instead of multiple different tools to see what they do best with. You need public education.
What about a mock debate where Trump answers the questions live but they use previous filmed statements that Harris has used that answer the questions? She will look worse at a debate, and everyone knows it. At this point the entire song and dance is trying to find a way out of doing any debates because no matter how bad cancelling them would be, actually doing them would be worse.
I don't really buy it, playing hot potato like this has a good chance to burn them just as well - what if Harris pulls it off and they end up with egg on their faces? Hell, it's not like things haven't already been collapsing during the current admin, no matter how much lipstick they put on the pig. While I do think they have very little enthusiasm for Harris and a lot of the enthusiasm is astroturfed for the purpose of saving the downballot, I don't think they really care about being in power when shit comes crashing down, because they've already happily been doing that. They'd just have the media blame it on Trump/MAGA Republicans anyways, it's not like Biden's administration hasn't already been dodging any sort of accountability since day one.I've heard (and don't really agree with, despite its plausibility) a similar theory from a couple of podcasters. The theory is that the nebulous they want Trump to win because things are getting bad, the crash is coming, and they want to be able to blame it on the republicans. So they're running a deliberately slipshod campaign with a known charisma vacuum as a nominee because they don't think they can actually win and only have to make it look like they tried.
The National School Choice Awareness Foundation’s January 2–4, 2024, survey of 2,595 U.S. parents reveals that in a post-pandemic world, U.S. parents increasingly see school choice as a “new normal.” Among moms and dads across America:the head of the union is part of the special people. they get special rules and benefits. the lower down peons who buy into the propaganda are the ones who send their children to the shitty schools to sacrifice their families for the greater good. and they do so willingly
this is how communism works
I personally don't get it, but you do you.mean tweets at libs = good

I 100% understand your points. Home schooling is not as much of a problem nowadays as it used to be. Now there are entire communities and industries around it. Back in the day, kids were homeschooled because their parents were bonkers or didn't want to deal with their kids getting in trouble anymore (some parents would legitimately pull their kids out of public school, say they were "homeschooling," and then do absolutely nothing).I definitely see the value in public education, but there is a lot wrong with the public school system in the US. To the point where I'm genuinely considering just homeschooling my future children because of it. Teaching to the test, critical race theory and other propoganda in the curriculum, focusing on the lowest common denominator, teaching one way to do things instead of multiple different tools to see what they do best with.
You can do everything they do and more with 2 hours of homeschooling, and some extracurriculars to keep them social. I don't want to have to resort to that but I don't see the system being fixed (or even greatly improved) within the next 10 years.
Teachers often get paid fine. I as an undergrad had four jobs: Lab TA+grader at my college, weekend job, research assistant, and grader+ Science TA at a middle school. I had the teacher I was working with dump shit on me during finals so they could go on vacation. With public schools, it’s paradoxical in how they operate. A teacher will get told they’re “essential” and “necessary” for kids, but at the same time, get paid crap wages. This creates a problem where the people that would put up with this more are essentially activists, and possibly have a spouse or family to fall back on to make up for lack of income in the profession. People that need more financial stability won’t go into teaching unless it’s at a richer school district, or at a private school. So, as a result, people that would be higher quality teachers are scared away from the profession due to lack of money in it, and you get stuck with more activists. This isn’t to say every teacher is this, it’s just the structure of how it operates creates more teachers like that. People that would otherwise make for fabulous science or mathematics teachers are going into engineering and computer science, because there’s more money in those fields. If schools are more willing to pay teachers better, and increase standards, they will get higher quality teachers. You can’t actually get higher quality unless you’re willing to pay. Otherwise, you get high turnover and lessening quality of instructors.
The problem with this is that some districts don't let teachers have a 401k because of the pensions.Slash pensions, too.
