I can't believe there's people here that still don't get that KC is just building up Phil to piss off RTUSA and the detractors, because it's funny and will provide content for some time to come. I'm sure they will flip on him eventually, as well as everyone else. It's kind of genius actually, cause it's making Phil lower his guard and show his true colors, as well as become smug and prideful, which will inevitably lead him to make a reality stupid mistake down the line.
I think it's a result of hearing/seeing things third hand or not having any deeper context for what they're saying/doing. Things have been a bit of a shitshow lately with all the infighting slapfights which makes it easy for information to get lost in the shuffle or presented without proper context.
Only we care about Phil's wasteful spending on gacha, and how it relates to his overstatement of expenses, which he further parlayed into an unearned (one of Phil's favorite words) Chapter 7 (instead of Chapter 13) bankruptcy granting. A lotta peepul (dents) seem keen on not only having Phil have his "redemption" run, but also pad his narc ego to the stratosphere with this king moniker (and huge tips goal streaks)
Maybe this will be the new normal, or perhaps Phil will find a way to fuck up his last real chance at being liked online. Who's to say? The important thing is not to get too worked up about it (I'm guilty of doing this once during the bankruptcy hearing) and to enjoy how stupid Phil makes himself look with his egotripping.
For me, I don't really care if Phil admits to playing Champions because we already know it's true and as others have said, even his fans seem to accept it as fact. Don't get me wrong, it was huge when we first found out, I recall it being pretty similar to when the escort saga first started. But so many years have passed since all the smoking guns were found that it's just a commonly accepted fact for us.
I don't think it even relates to Phil's bankruptcy hearing because, even if he was including it as a business expense, I don't know if Phil was averaging 5k monthly because of it. I genuinely think Nancy told Phil a number that looks reasonable for business expenses and Phil just wrote that number down without having to justify where it came from. Even if Phil didn't play a single mobile game, if 5k is what he was told is reasonable to put for business expenses/will help his case look legitimate, he was writing down 5k. We've seen before Phil is perfectly fine with just writing down numbers on a paper and claiming it's an official document.
Anyway, as others have said, nobody new really likes Phil. If we're being generous, he probably has a few new ironic fans which IMO, are basically as legitimate as "unironic" supporters. But the only one who thinks this is a new era and his reputation is repaired is Phil. To the rest of the internet at whole, he's either "Who? Oh, wait, is that the guy who jerked off on stream once?" or if he's lucky, "Isn't that the guy who plays videogames bad?"
