That's the weird thing with Thai-Beeze 2.0. She hasn't bothered to invent a solid story about this trip.

She initially said "they" need a "vacation", but then he supposedly had a "family emergency" that made him stay home. Later she said it wasn't a family emergency, it was a bizzzness emergency. She said his issue was "really, really last minute".

When she got to her hotel in Bangkok, she mentioned she chose to go to Thailand in particular because she needed to get out of the Kuwait heat. (Bangkok is probably hotter when you add the humidity) She has zero story for why his dollar store spray perfume business means he might be delayed for weeks or more.

She also said she'll be there for "at least 30 days, maybe more", and that she couldn't end her trip earlier because she can't change her return ticket. But she might be there LONGER than 30 days, so she obviously can change her ticket. And she said Salah got his ticket refunded.

My general impression is that she's been forced onto this trip by something in Kuwait, and it's more than just a simple border run. She'd never live alone for 30+ days unless something happened.

I’m stuck on her halal food availability lies. Cornwall had a huge influx of migrants, most refugees a few years back and the majority were Muslim. Grocery stores would be stupid not to stock halal. Any grocery store I’ve been in in my city has a good selection of halal foods.

Recently I was visiting in a small and isolated part of the country. It has an old fashioned country store where you can buy calf bridles or hoof picks along with your coffee and candy bars. They had a decent selection of halal.

It just irritates me the way she’ll keep pounding a lie, as if constant repetition makes it true.

That is just plain not true and I am always bothered when I hear it. I've had a multitude of cats over 64 years, they need love, companionship, and play everyday. Even leaving them to go to work every day can be very hard on their mental health.

If you've had a cat that could tolerate 2 weeks at a time of being alone and yet happy, you've had an outlier. Ferals adopt people at an astounding rate because they need and want people, much less cats born into human families

It won't let me reply to you, but we mainly adopt feral cats from irresponsible litters because people can't be bothered to fix their pets. None of them have been overly friendly or needy. Even having bottle fed a lot of them, they don't seem too plussed about people, and come and go as they please.

Yes, but she's paying Thai hotel expenses PLUS apartment and other expenses in Kuwait. So at least double expenses for a month, plus the cost of her airline ticket (and possibly Salah's if he does in fact show up later). Thailand is cheap, but broke people can't usually afford a month-long vacation, even at cheap destinations.

I think I found the Oman airlines flight Chantal took to Bangkok. It would have cost about 380 USD at the time she bought it (512 Canadian maple-soaked bills). That's assuming they moved her next to that empty seat for free and didn't charge her extra when she booked in. A 24 hrs border run flight to Doha would be about 180 round trip, so it's only an extra 200 for Thailand.

But it's much cheaper than living in a hotel in Kuwait for a month, so I'm guessing that was the dilema. Something's wrong with her fartbox. Salah can stay with friends/family, but NO ONE in Kuwait would let Chantal stay in their home.

The shittiest hotel in Kuwait city books for 48 USD/day (online website), vs her current 24/day Bangkok hotel. But that Kuwait hotel is so scary shitty even Chantal wouldn't stay there. The bottom-barrel acceptable Kuwait hotel is about 55/day.

Her Bangkok hotel with a dorm fridge and microwave is 24/day, while mildly worse Kuwait hotel is 55/day, meaning she saves 31/day. At 30 days, that's a 930 USD difference. The food in Thailand is cheaper than Kuwait too.

Cambodia is the current King of Shady Vacations. Budget hotels are available for 11 USD per night in the capitol of Phnom Penh. There's one for 7 bucks a night rated 3.4 out of 5 stars by weird Americans doing god knows what over there.
