Bond is 20k or personal recognizance.
The omnibus hearing will be held remotely on October 8th

Is there any particular reason April's are being held remotely, or is that just something you can opt to do nowadays?

Since COVID, a lot of courts allow for remote hearings of pre-trial stuff. Which lawyers like, because they don't have to waste a lot of travel time going physically into court.

Nick could have done that throughout as well, but between the jokers dropping in on the zoom (and Nick being bitch made and wanting not to have his trial blasted across the Internet), they are doing all the pre-trial hearings all in person.

LOL. Her lawyer's argument against conditional release due to scant evidence right after the prosecutor states the drugs were coating her property. Also, specifically didn't want testing either.

Nicky is gonna have to scrape together 2k for the bail bondsmen so his sidepiece can partake in the fun. So many prudes.

It's probably because April's next hearing is not a Rule 11 "contested omnibus" hearing like Nick's. Her's is a Rule 8 "uncontested omnibus" where the defendant either demands a contested omnibus, which gets scheduled at a later date, or waives it. Nick went ahead and waived the uncontested omnibus at his arraignment and demanded the contested omnibus. April's lawyer did not because having the extra hearing buys a little more time for the defense.

Anyways, the fact that the next hearing is very minor and doesn't involve testimony is likely why they have it by video. If she has a contested omnibus, it should be in person.

Very interesting how he's (I assume he is still engineering things behind the scenes) making sure April's proceedings get delayed as long as possible while trying to get his own done before that happens.

I wonder what his reasoning is.

I'm sure you can figure it out.

How could Nick possibly benefit from his proceedings going forward before April's even get heard? Does he fear her testimony, which delaying her hearings could allow her to take the Fifth?

Isn't that some kind of interference in the process?

I find it hard to believe that Nick is still going through all of this the hard way in order to preserve his reputation. It is already shit to the vast majority of people that know him, and the longer he plays this game, the more people who wake up to how much he is lying to everyone.

Either it is pure narcissism compelling him to try and control everyone and what they think.

Or maybe he wants to prove his lawyer street cred by beating all of these charges and coming out on top. He has to "win."

Maybe this has been such a shell shock to his entire world he is busy reacting to everything instead of sitting down and thinking things through. He went straight from Wet Brained Cocaine addiction, to jail, to trying to white knuckle sobriety while keep his two bitches in line and in his control while trying to make sure they don't fail any drug tests either.

Maybe he thought he could wrangle his audience and the internet to really think that the police and county were corrupt and that this was all a set up and get an internet mob ready to tear down the county. He is pissed as hell that few are buying his bullshit outside of grafting-grifters like Barnes.

It’s 100% about what Kiwi Farms gets to make fun of him for. If he didn’t have a KF thread, odds are good that he would already have copped a plea.

Good Lawgic is rebutting Uncivil Law's assessment of Nick Rekieta's motion. I guess it will be a good chance to see how much of a ball washer Joe is, or is not.
That wasn't much of a rebuttal by Good Lawgic.

His only real point is that Probable Cause is higher up on the difficulty of proving scale, than Kurt claims it is, and I am inclined to agree with him here, but everything else was just quibbling over minutiae.

He is letting the thread run his life, true and honest lolcow behavior. After years of growth by brand management and playing a character and taking certain positions to appeal to his niche his wires got chemically crossed to where all he sees now is the thread and the lawtubers who would disagree with him. I bet he still believes all he is doing is saving his brand but he has completely lost sight of the bigger picture. Peak Nick would be grifting the shit out of this with levity, performative rage and the occasional appeal to emotion while letting his attorney do the work to get him the quickest and easiest plea and never addressing random nobodies online so that the general public only gets his perspective and we just circlejerk in our own corner. But the addict’s world is small to where if he just pwns the thread real hard ome time his brand will be saved. PPP voice “deluuuuusional”

My main question to people more experienced than me is does Nick have anything to gain at all be talking about the case this much?

It seems incredibly stupid. Like, among the stupidest things he’s done legally, including the entire Montagraph fiasco.

Two to three nights a week he’s either impeaching himself by lying and/or providing a large volume of evidence for the State to sift through. There’s no doubt in my mind that he’s making his CHIPS case worse, but I’m wondering just how bad his constant blabbing is for his criminal case.

Ironically, Nick was the first person I mention how you should never talk about an ongoing case, so I’m wondering if he’s just a moron or if he’s a moron with an angle.

The cops watch his streams, it’s literally in the warrant. He live-streamed himself doing drugs and now thinks that somehow live-streaming himself contradicting or muddying the waters of his testimony will be ignored?

Maybe I just answered my own question lol.
