I dug up this account just to post here again now we've entered a new arc. Phil coming clean about his gacha addiction is just the first step. Next he has to embrace his drinking addiction in the same way. Not like the random stream events with a shot here or a drink there. Nah. I'm talking full-blown alcoholism on display. He should order extravagant door dash meals for himself and his wife as they mukbang together on stream. This can all be accompanied with shopping online for random gadgets. I'm talking full on hedonism-style-Phil, taking the rest of his addictions and amplifying then unapologetically on stream.

I'm seriously happy for Phil. He's finally doing what he enjoys now.

If people want to give him all their money while he's being honest about it now, cool.

It's interesting because I feel like Phil now is, to quote a very wise man, at the precipice of an enormous crossroads.

He could genuinely leave all the detractors completely FELTED and with basically no reason to continue hatewatching him, and he could actually maybe kill off the vast bulk of this community. Just straight-up saying "Yeah, I'm DFTR, I'm gonna be streaming this account now, gimme money for pulls" would destroy most of the conversation material for us, would kill off arguably the biggest point of contention people have with his begging, etc.

He'd basically 'win'.

The issue is that, in that scenario, he'd not only have to rely on support from genuine Phil fans, or at least non-detractors who may not like him but want to see the monkey do pulls, but he'd also lose the "help me stick it to my grotesque cadre of detractors who try and ruin my life for no reason" talking point that so effectively riles up his dents. (Though then again, he could always pignotize his dents into thinking the detractor community is still thriving and scheming at that point, even if it was a lie) It'd be a gamble.

Thing is, I don't see Phil being smart enough to game any of this out on his end. His thought process and strategem will go as far as "if I admit I'm DFTR, then the detractors win", so he'll stay where he is, maybe doing slightly better, or eventually falling far lower than he was before this arc.

If he weren't so self-pignotized on the importance of felting da trakturz, he'd have a real opportunity here to roll the dice and maybe move past Level 1. Alas, it's not in his gin-laced blood.

DSP is proud to have "Poopyniggerman's" endorsement! Hahahaha, you can't make this stuff up!

"Alright g'night Poopyniggerman, thanks for stopping by"

We were there before. When the SoK fell Phil gloated that his biggest hate group was finally gone but it didn't take long to build a new boogeyman. Say it with me "That sick motherfucker called Tevin" Who at this point wasn't even a real threat or detractor. But Phil allegedly got Tevin banned from Twitch for a time and if true it would explain why Tevin began harping on Phil. Though I wonder how long it will take for Phil to become his "glory days" Kingform. The one who shat on everyone. with one big difference: there is a detractor community that brodcasts his idiocies even wider then he currently can. It is a symbiotic relationship and one he can never get rid of.Even with him "winning2 it doesn't seem to translate into real growth except his curent paycheque and as of now most of that income seems to be thrown out of the window as fast as possible. I mean good for him to finally upgrade his office. He could have done that 4 years ago but better late the never right? who knows maybe he will do editing again...when he is 50 or so

I'm not sure how this will go yet. Phil made a ton of money yesterday, but he had to spend $255 to be competitive. We all know he usually spends more than that. Will the novelty of him playing Champions continue for much longer where he's making $500 a stream? Are the KC dents going to keep tipping? Or in a few weeks will he be making less than he has to spend on the game each stream and be literally begging to play and guilting everyone "you wanted to see this" etc. If that happens and he has to stop playing on stream and go back to playing secretly (hell, he might do both, another risk) then he's truly screwed, financially and otherwise. It's a big gamble on Phil's part, pun intended.

This stream was like looking into a bizarro alternate dimension, not because he's playing WWE Champions per se, but because all of the copes he had throughout the years - I don't suck at video games, I enjoy gaming it's my hobby but also my jahb, if I'm having fun people will donate etc. were actually true this stream. Dude attached his ego to fighting games, namely Street Fighter, but he doesn't even know what the difference between a mixup and an option select is, among a myriad of other very basic level mistakes he makes. Meanwhile the dude gave a university level lecture on WWE Champions, its mechanics, the various scam currencies, metagaming, the best ways to pull etc. It was surreal, compare it to that Overwatch guide he made several years ago that was full of the dumbest advice and misinformation imaginable and it's night and day. He was actually happy and engaged, every other stream he does is him in a bitchy mood with a permanent scowl on his face barely paying attention to the game, all he cares about is clocking out ASAP like an out-of-his-mind menial worker whose work day involves pushing a single button and putting a box on a pallet when it's full for 8 hours a day.

Triple P and Sir Tardski, I kneel.

I think his defiant defense of a pedophile because the detractors might "win" should tell you how this will go.

You're a dumbfuck if you think he plays WWE champions, or a dummy if you think he doesn't play WWE champions
That pure happiness in his voice when he got that 6 star was really telling. On top of his encyclopedic knowledge of the game this is legit one of the few things that makes him happy.

And that is really really sad.

I'm watching the WWEC stream. I'm just going to assume this level of jubilation is not normal, yea?

he's rapid fire explaining all sorts of weird things about the game, it's reminds me of listening to someone talk about their weird hobby nobody has ever asked about before

Yeah. I am starting to lose interest in him to be honest. Back to Stuttering John and MovieBob for me

He never has passion for the games he plays like this. Tonight he is a genuine game streamer

It's a minor meme that he only seems to have genuine fun when he's doing some kind of gambling. That new Pac-Man game with gacha mechanics mentioned earlier was one instance, and he's played a bit of Genshin Impact and was very hyped about the pulls in that. I think he also really likes the casinos in Yakuza games.

Not only that but explaining how to optimize buying packs, membership to get more value as a whale.

You yourself pointed out that his streams felt like a man who hated his job a few weeks ago.

This is the first time that he doesn't act like that in about a decade.

Don't these gacha pull games have huge audiences that crowdfund their pulls?
They do, though it depends on the gacha game, the really popular ones draw a bigger crowd naturally. However, the companies that make the gacha games will often give streamers free pulls no matter how small their audience is, so Phail could capitalize on that as well.
