The US has an extradition treaty with both Romania and Serbia. If either of these countries refuse to cooperate, the US could withhold aid money (US aid to Romania amounts to around $500m and US aid to Serbia amounts to around $930m). I have no idea how this will play out - I'm armchairing as I usually do - but I would say there's a good chance that Romanian and Serbian authorities will cooperate. The real question is whether they can find these two.

Since we're on the topic of this, it's not hard to figure out the story of these two Romanian swatters because I've see similar stories from other cybercriminals before.

These kind of online crime communities go through cookie cutter an arc. Chances are (my best guess) they probably got into trolling as cheap entertainment, when that got boring then they probably moved on to doxing and maybe some computer hacking, when just doxing people got boring I think that is where they turned to swatting for bigger kicks to get that rush (especially attacking high profile individuals).

There's a pattern I see with cybercriminals like these. They get a high doing stupid shit like this because it is never enough, they want more until the law comes knocking at their door.

If you remember the story of RaidForums, it was founded by a troll from Portugal that started out harassing Twitch streamers but that got boring and took their trolling into the realm of A-Logging by hosting black hat hacking on his website until the feds arrested him and shut down RaidFourms.

These two guys from Romania could've worked in cybersecurity or worked for their government as tech guys but instead they decided to throw away their lives to do something as stupid as swatting.

He made accounts here during to chudbuds drama and then to alog AR after he banned him. This OP post explains Toastmaster, who AR thinks is the Romanian guy.
If Szabo is really KF user Toastmaster then looking at his post history you can see he joined to cause problems and to spread disinfo about Metokur's swatting. He isn't "from here". He operated on the fediverse and discord. KF forum users, and friends of the forum (Metokur, Claire) are victims of his swattings.
