Whether it'll work or not is probably luck, but his restraining order violation can definitely be used to establish a pattern of harassing behavior that won't help his case.
The defense's only response can really be "now how can you be sure that he's not merely showing off the women he screwed for reasons that had nothing to do with him harassing her and her husband?"
In other words, it would come down to how many guys on the jury do the same thing.
