This guy is actually a full-on lolcow.
Jermaine spent last week, after some heavy fundraising, at Brooklyn's Afropunk music festival (ticket price $235). He spent last night at a $60 ticketed dance party called The Lair. This was a couple of days after he posted this to raise funds.
And while he's supposedly going to school, he's also trying to go on a film tour that no one's actually going to fund.
He's holding zoom calls where nice white ladies can give money to multiple disabled black beggars.
This is apparently all a hustle for him, acknowledged as that, but people keep giving. The $35k doesn't even include any donations to his Paypal that he posts as the main place to send funds.
He has hundreds, maybe thousands, of tweets with the word "urgent" being used to describe varying amounts of financial need. In 2023 he was saying he needed $2500-4k to prevent eviction and another (no shit) $100k to cover his needs for the next year.
In 2022 it was only $50k.
Before his hospital stay, though, he still had urgent needs.
When he was still employed, how did he feel about "mutual aid"? I'll tell you how he felt.
