The worst part about AITA isn’t the fake as fuck stories or the blatant narcissists, it’s the fact that almost without fail Reddit will give the worst advice and the worst take possible. Only Reddit would say not only is it a good idea to get married after only a year but to disown your son for person you’ve only known for a year.

Also, why is an 80 year old out crying about a bunch of sand people? Doesn't she have grandkids or a family or a church group to spend her final years with? :optimistic:

I am genuinely trying to understand your take on this thread. The OP left his wife to mostly raise 4 kids on her own and she's at the end of her rope because humans aren't designed to raise one child alone, let alone 4, but you think getting household help to ease the burden on her is some kind of liberal claptrap?

Most of the religious trad moms I know have as much household help as they can afford so that they can get everything done. He needs to either get a job with different hours so he can parent, or free up some of his wife's time so she can attempt to do the work of two parents.

That part is totally believable. There's a large number of old cat ladies who used to be crusty hippies in the 60s and 70s, got their holes blown out, and then noone wanted them because they smell like patchouli and gonorrhea so all they do is stew in cat piss and go to protests for whatever retarded leftoid cause is currently popular.

They are probably women. There are some women who will excuse anything another woman does. A woman can be found killing babies, abusing weaker people etc etc. They will try to excuse it. You can see it with women killing kids, a bunch of idiots will try to excuse it with postpartum depression/psychosis, even when it's clear the woman was planning it for weeks.

I don't even understand how this protesting is even happening still. Personally I don't give a flying fuck about what's happening in the middle east, or any other country for that matter. Where do people even find the time to care about this shit?

With a lot of this shit it isn't even about the cause, it's more about trying to earn social standing by showing the world "I support the right thing!!!"
I don't think most of these people really would care about some desert tribes duking it out over some dust or who worships Christianity worse, it's just that these people have been trained to do this.

These people have literally nothing else going on in their lives, they are sad pathetic lonely losers living sad pathetic lonely lives where they have to externalise for self-worth and meaning by pretending they’re some superhero winning a war against a childish idea of evil. The rest of us derive self-worth from our responsibilities to jobs, children, friends, family and local communities. None of which these people have.

Neither you or @KingFrampt are reading the post correctly. OP's son was introduced to OP's new partner when he was 7, and is now 16. Which means they've been in each other's lives for 9 years.

The replies are actually being pretty reasonable here. Falsely accusing your stepdad of molesting you is an extremely fucked up thing to do, the gay part is just a red herring. If OP were the kid's mom but every other detail were the same then sending the kid to live with the other bio parent would still be the right thing to do.

The kid made some edgy jokes with his friends. I don't care how much you love your husband you don't kick your fucking son out of the house over something that could have been reasonably resolved with a discussion. The op mentions that the kid accepted his step father as his real father when he was younger and the redditor had the gall to think that sending the kid to his mother who he hasn't seen in years. Even if the child actually believed that, the father should have waited to see if the kid actually believed it. A sixteen year relationship shouldn't end over a sixteen year old being an edgelord with his friends.

Assuming this story is true, the real solution is for the mother and stepfather to have a conversation with the kid, because all it takes is some other kid’s retarded parent (let’s be honest, it’s always a mom) taking it super seriously and getting the police involved. But this is Reddit, so if it’s real, then of course no one would make the right decision, and if it’s not real, well then congratulations, because it certainly never happened.
