Welcome to the Farms! There's considerable overlap between LCF and KF, so I'm sure you'll fit right in once you get used to it. In the future, if LCF is down, check CC for a bunker thread. That's where everyone goes to shitpost and commiserate during outages. Really the only time anybody bothers using CC.

They both kind of hate one another, yet there's a portion of crossposters, as well as bunker threads on both sites when the other goes down. The hate is generally the same thing on each site: trannies use it. Also LC thinks CC moves too slow (true), CC thinks LC is too mean (I think they can stand to be meaner on some things, less petty on others). And let's be real. Troons at least lurk both sites.
Troons do more than just lurk CC, they're always posting CP and gore. And not just run of the mill CP shit some really gross stuff. And troons wonder why women don't like them and why we think they're degenerate weirdos. Putting actual CP on your computer to OWN THE TERFS is sociopathic.

Every time they do it, they just solidify anti-trans sentiment even further and prove why they shouldn't be allowed in women's spaces. They demonstrate exactly why men ruin their own spaces. And we know it's troons because women don't attack their own shelters. The world is shitty enough as it is.
This. You can repeatedly try to make an appeal if you get banned but they will not unban you, nor tell you why you were banned, making all bans just permabans. Some anons on LCF even mentioned getting accidentally banned in CP/gore IP ban sweeps, having mixed results on getting unbanned from those incidents. Snail isn't even there anymore and doesn't answer Discord DMs. It's sad that 4chan, of all places, is more fair with bans than CC.
I'd say the same principle applies to LCF and Kiwifarms, to a lesser extent. I'm not sure how many anons on LCF have accounts here, since the anonymity is part of the appeal of image boards and something they dislike about more conventional forums, but people definitely lurk, and there's an exchange of information between the two sites. Documentation of Fanny Perret is an example of that (a real shame that LCF went down shortly after her discord logs were archived.) What I will say as someone who uses both is that Kiwifarms has better OPs and a better search function, but Lolcow is better for archival reading. KF has a serious problem with people parachuting into featured threads to make the joke that's already been said twenty times, or with people going completely off-topic in a thread for days on end. It makes for some good locally-sourced cows, but it sucks if you've got a backlog of shit to read about a cow you and have to wade through the kind of non-contribution posts that usually warrant bans on LCF.
another thing to about LC that I’ve noticed is that, because of the change of admin, so frequently, most of the sites issues are relatively I wanna say are unknown to about a good 60% of the people that use the site. Meta-is hardly really discussed, and updates from admin, really just depends on who's running the site. The culture has a lot of similarities like you’ve brought up, but I feel like more of like the egirl/insta/tiktok new gen crowd has gotten into more of the site there’s been a decent shift between the newfags of now vrs the newfags of old.

Holy shit, it's still like that on CC? I remember it being good for five minutes, then this shit and some other undesirable stuff (like that fat, snaggle-toothed britcunt Spoony shitting it up with her relentless attention whoring) started happening and i never went back.
Site has been taking a steady nosedive ever since Admin-sama left. I say just let the site die, most cows on there are ancient and haven't produced milk in years (apart from Shaygnar), the new cow threads are mostly terrible and the board culture has gone completely to shit.
