Bro needs a HARDRIVE check. Last time I ever found Saber funny is when he covered Gaithers Pond. Wish he had kept with more stuff like that instead of literal porn and furry bait. Also his commentary is just so boring even as background noise it's hard to focus because he just drones on and on. At least Just Stop has something to say even if he isn't perfect.
Now that I think about it Steve Reviews does what Saber does but better. I don't think he's reviewed porn but he's reviewed controversial animation or anything dark. Highly recommend his channel.

I think that we owe a mention to Saberspark's work on Leo and the Promised Land Reanimated as an antecedent to how he got the ball rolling for Sleepytime. Sort of fleshes out how he used to be a relatively normal guy (for cartoon reviewer standards) and succumbed to the coom like most of them. Saber also has his own /co/ style waifu and there's a meme about it inspired on Verbalese's Hide Away.

As for my personal favourite Saber moment, I'm biased. Saber shows up in this horrid mega crossover fake Vidcon vlog Quinton Reviews made and the whole joke of their interaction was that Quinton calls avatar reviewers by what is supposed to be interpreted as a slur in-universe. The video bombed hard and some of the people in it shared it half-heartedly, Saber just tweeted the clip he appeared in and tweeted hey, that's me.

Saber reminds me of several others of his kind funny enough.


He's got the dime dozen cartoon spergatry (dusktoshawn, ls mark, ect)

He's got animats political sperging, possibly worse since he's gone after antiwoke toons (dk if animats done that he's so one note boring I think he's threads gone necro)

He's got two of Chris's traits; one is wasting money, in his case its thumbnails and self insert art of himself cause he's too lazy to even draw it himself though I'm sure he's bought tons of useless crap over paying bills too.

And Like Chris he's using an avatar that might have looked like him once (Chris's comic self is essentially a cartoon version of Chris in his high school peak) but looks nothing like him anymore. His avatar looks like a handsome pretty boy whod be the hero who gets the girl in his favorite cartoons all the time. The real saberspark looks like Lenny Baxter from powerpuff girls.

I’d argue AniMat’s still worse. He’ll bring up fascism/the far-right/incels at any opportunity even if the situation barely calls for it. Plus he talks about real world politics and is open about his Trump hatred while Saber generally isn’t. I’ve been considering giving his OP a rewrite to reignite interest in him.

I always knew Saberspark was teetering on the edge of cowdom for so long, his predisposition towards creepy fandoms and shilling all sorts of weird fetish artwork of himself was telling but I never thought it was much more serious than typical furfaggotty stuff and his reviews were pretty middle of the road so I seemed hesitant. Glad to see he’s actually way more fucked than I thought and gets a thread.

I wonder how much time it’ll be for people like Schraffilas to get a proper thread as well.
