I honestly don’t see why anyone cares about what food anyone else consumes, so long as it isn’t something profoundly stupid like something that’s going to bring back the black plague.

And if you honestly care about protecting public health, regulating raw milk and the like is so far down that list as to not even be worth talking about. Why not start with holding the government accountable for all the times it’s tested biological weapons on Americans, many of which have led to mass outbreaks of diseases? Or how about outlawing bug chasing, and enforcing those laws to the fullest extent possible? Why not do something about the opioid crisis?

Hell, if we’re DEAD SET on regulating things people eat, and only that, why not address federal employees eating slaughtered animals that were used in biological testing, as was alleged to occur at Fort Terry?

But no, it’s raw milk, something which has been consumed for tens of thousands of years, that’s the problem.

If you want raw milk, and you know the apparent risks and they label your stuff appropriately, I don't care. I've been getting locally produced but pasteurized whole milk, the kind still put in glass jars, for the past year and find it works a lot better for cereal and cooking.

no one has to drink raw milk if they don't want to but raw milk is tastes a lot better than the store bought shit. Much creamier and flavorful. Stuff in the store tastes like milk water to me now.

Most of the time when I see raw milk people pasteurize it at home. Well not pasteurize it but just boil it once. The result is the best of both worlds: you kill any germs but keep the flavor.

The reason most pasteurized milk tends to taste bad is because of fuckery on the dairy industry skimming the fat and cream off to sell on the side, so of course the end result comes out less dense as they fish it out instead of redissolving it.

Also raw milk is a MUST for a lot of cheese making.
