I can confirm that Wu was scheduled to talk at Google at the beginning of November. It wasn't recorded and wasn't open to the public which is why she may have been quiet about it (potential NDA about the details too is my speculation). The topic was "How Google can solve the problems of gamergate". It sounds too Wu to be true but I assure you it's the actual title. It was basically her recycled speech on sexism in tech and how she's the number one top victim. No idea about turnouts but since it's just recycling old content that she presented to the same office not that long ago I wouldn't be surprised if it was low.

I'd tend to call bullshit on it because there's no way Flynt/Wu wouldn't tweet about speaking at Google before, during and after the event unless Google told security to mace him and throw him down a freight elevator shaft after listening to two minutes of the deranged troon reeeeing about GamerGate like a harpy on crank. An NDA would have no effect whatsoever on Flynt/Wu's relentless campaign of self-aggrandizement.

The oppo research is a strong point, but I think her personality will do her in even if she ran for something like a seat on a PTA board. Wu has twitter allies and donors to her Patreon, but think about her showing up at a school and trying to focus on something that's not Gamergate and rousing support. Think about Wu finding a local band and holding a charity event at a coffeehouse. Think about Wu having to appeal to people very different than herself.

Oppo research will sink Brianna Wu if she dares make a serious play for anything above low level local stuff. But she's a misandrist, she reacts terribly to adversity (Ralph Retort getting thrown out, the Ipad throwing, the Coffee Threat), and she's got to be right. Local government, even if higher levels are dominated by PACs and Lobbyists, is fundamentally about solving problems and making the best decisions. Brianna Wu will not come off of her pedestal. She's at heart an authoritarian--people SHOULD respect me, not I NEED to EARN people's respect.

Brianna Wu stands to get crushed even running for local utilities commissioner. Because, at a minimum, there's a man or woman who will be willing to have a good talk over beers, understand or learn what people want, and are willing to compromise on points. And that's really all it will take to smoke Brianna Wu.

Run for Congress? Mayor? State Assembly? Oppo research. Run for any kind of political office--Wu gets beaten by an average Joe. But this sounds way fun to watch, and congrats to the people who have the good fortune to draw Wu as a political opponent.

So isn't this new political career just an obvious Patreon play? Natalie will transition (heh) from her role as office manager to campaign advance team, and she'll definitely need a raise, being in her twelfth trimester and all.

Seriously though: expect a preannouncement with crowdfunding link, commercial with crowdfunding link, t-shirts, interviews and then whoops dastardly gamer gate hijacked the filing process and she'll have to wait til 2020 but don't worry you can sign up as a regular contributor to help prep Wu for the inevitable wave election.

One potential upside is that sometime in Wu thread 7 we'all be discussing the federal election committee investigation and inshallah the divorce proceedings.

Cant remember the coffee threat, but someone (i think it was a male staff member), accidentally spilled their drink into Johns lap at a girl gamer jam. John being john and hating everything that reminds him he is a male, grabbed someone elses ipad and threw it at the person.

Johns apparently been banned from ever going back there.
