It’s pure desperation when you’re dragging out a shambling corpse that you forcibly shoved off into the shadows for being too damaging, yet somehow, said corpse becomes an improvement on the new puppet. They’re counting on people’s goldfish-esque memory spans to associate Biden with some sense of folksiness/nostalgia/the democrat position in the 2020 lead-up, and hope that people will just ignore the circumstances that led to him no longer being the party’s nominee, and feel a sense of strength. The optics at play here are fucking wild.

Interesting thought I had re: election fortifying that even Baris discussed a bit today is how it's possible some segments of the Dems will deliberately sabotage Harris come November. I think he has a sense because his reaction to the JFK and ayy lmao files was much different. For both of those he said he will, and immediately said there's no issue in doing so. He said he didn't release the JFK files in full because he was begged not to, and in another interview said he thinks this wasn't the best advisement and he regrets not releasing it. "I think the American people are ready to see it".

For the Epstein question he was more hesitant on it, said it's "different" because there are living people involved, and initially hedged and said he'd be open to looking into it.
Although eventually he said he'd "do it" this was only after multiple pushes from the interviewer and to me it sounds more like he's not sure and he would have to see what's actually in there to decide.

It is more characteristic of how he reacts when he's not sure about something or isn't familiar enough to decide yet.
If it's a yes he says yes, if it's a no he says no. If he's more indirect I usually get the impression he's not sure.

I hadn't heard that. They're finally doing it? They remade The Goonies a couple of years ago but t wasn't called The Goonies it was called Finding Ohana and it sucked. They removed pretty much everything that made The Goonies good and it's just a bland generic children's film. They sex and race (she's a native Hawaiian now) swapped Mikey too. Ke Huy Quan (Data) has a very small role in it (basically a glorified cameo) but he's totally wasted as he's only in a couple of scenes and doesn't really do anything.. The only way to get an adult child to learn how to do shit is to kick them out of the house. You don't have to cut them out of your life, but they have to become responsible for themselves.

They have to learn what it is to get a job and have enough for a shitty apartment. They might need to learn how to cohabitate with friends or a girlfriend to afford a nicer place. If they don't cook, they won't eat.

Self-reliance is something you learn in the absence of other choices, and once learned it is freeing.

They should have been taught that before they were old enough to be kicked out. If you haven't been teaching them those things from a very early age then you've failed as a parent. Also, as someone else pointed out, you should be trying to keep the family together.
