Big this. I looked through the viewcounts on his videos and it looks like his channel fucking blew up around the pandemic.

The pandemic threw this dude into orbit and now he gets to be eaten alive by the lifestyle granted to him by his low effort soytube bux.

The sigma video is his first video that breaks 100k and he has pretty consistent 100k+ videos after that. He found his formula for success: pick a low hanging fruit and put a line of easy clips to dunk on and get lefties fired up. Really makes this video title funny:

Just using this video as a frame of reference, you don't have to watch it.
There's the wing of commentary channels led by former Viners that basically act and talk like primary schoolers but clown on the manosphere or trads. All of them are ideologically aligned with breadtube but aren't explicitly political besides some crossovers like podcasts or followings on Twitter. Basically every man in these circles can be described as an overgrown teenager that likes being described as 'safe'.

Examples of them:
Danny Gonzalez: Arguably the pioneer of the concept. Was bullied by his own fanbase to apologize while on stream over saying spic once in an old video and consuming Starbucks.
Kurtis Conner: The third wheel of the Danny-Drew Gooden tour and crafter of some of the most uncomfortably mediocre stand-up this side of Comedy Mothership. Kissed Hasan on the lips, poster boy of the 80s sex offender look revival.
Cody Ko: Currently under massive scrutiny for having sex with then minor and always turbo slut Tana Mongeau. Best man at his wedding beat a woman.
Eddy Burbank: Threw his best friend and business partner Gus Johnson under the bus and looked like a complete ass when it turned out Sabrina was lying.
Jarvis Johnson: The guy that joked about having Andrew Tate's nose a couple of pages back.
Chad Chad: Maybe an industry plant.
D'Angelo Wallace: The industry plant.

All of these people have been featured heavily at Vidcon as an alternative to inviting breadtubers post Sargon fiasco and they have inspired multiple copycats to the point that most 'video essayists' hold their Blue Yeti mic up to their faces while waddling in front of a greenscreen because of them. We might as well call them the decent guy community.

Maybe it’s my own perception of the timeline that’s flawed but I feel like Chad Chad is more of an industry plant Wallace. Wallace has been around for forever, wasn’t he part of art drama YouTube originally? Chad Chad, at least to me, seemed to pop out of no where, with a constant pumping out of meaningless but consumable slop that’s currently relevant to liberal media, and immediately getting collabs with the biggest ex-Viner types.

Yeah Wallace seems genuine and I really don't get industry plant vibes from him. Also Danny Gonzalez is still good in my opinion, but that apology video for the Starbucks cup was really fucking embarrassing. The people calling him out for that are the biggest losers on the internet.
Cody had been making the absolute lowest effort content possible for the last several years, so nothing of value was lost there.
ChadChad is fine I guess, but most of the time her videos are super low effort and don't really make any type of point.

The main takeaway here is that more people should be talking about Jake Doolittle ;)

And Eddy and Ted Nivison are leeches, who left the people who got them big when the slightest thing was happening, only for it to blow up in their faces. Oh yeah and ChadChad is gay.

He most likely did PSEO.

Several states offer what's called Post Secondary Enrollment Options, or PSEO for short, that essentially let you go to college for free while still in high school. You can be a full time college student and completely skip years of high school. You do need to get the credits to graduate high school, but credits count both towards your high school diploma and college degree. My state offers it for grades 11-12, but some offer PSEO for all 4 years of high school. To qualify, you need to be in the top half or third of your class depending on what grade you are in.

PSEO is a great program and I would highly recommend finding out if your state offers it. It's free college. You might have to do a bit of digging for information as it's not widely advertised.

eta: PSEO is great if you just hate high school and want to be done with it. Colleges also have a bigger selection of courses with more niche subjects that are more engaging than high school classes. Rock & Roll history and Graphic Novels were two of my favorite classes ever.

I will give Ethan one extremely small compliment: his dedication to sperging out in public and providing us milk. He could have thrown in the towel by now after the last few months of drama but he's too stubborn. He refuses to stop and go get a real job probably because his shitty YouTube career allows him to get high all the time and act self important.
