Breeding Sphynx cats is outlawed in my country since 1999. This is because the breed lacks whiskers, which under our animal welfare laws (which Hitler put in place) counts as a so-called "Torture breed/Qualzucht" because of the importance of said whiskers for a cat. It would be similar to having no hands in humans. While i think Sphynx cats are extremely cute in a gremlin sort of way i am completely on board with those laws.

They require weekly baths because cats need hair to catch the oils their skin produces, if you don’t bathe them they will get acne and blackheads, if not something more serious. They’re prone to infections and need their ears and paws thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis.
