Even if he did sell the account, he won't say when, so he can be vague and nobody will know where his spending stops and the other person's spending starts.

Wasn't he seen with the game open on his phone on stream at a time when the account was already called DownFromTheRafters? IIRC it was sometime shortly before or after the Sidescrollers interview. So either DFTR is him and he's lying now, or he was already playing on his super secret new account and totally not gambling any more money dood even though he did that in the past and it's what the game is about.

Gave it a couple thinks, and I'm just befuddled at the whole lineage of this thing. Like, why lie in the first place? He Streizand Effected the hell out of this for the better part of 2 years, the people who call him scum now were the people who called him scum before if not more so because of the lying, if it was for legal reasons he's nowhere near outside of statute of limitations for the bulk of things he did wrong. Scopely is vile for taking this guy's money for so long, and all DSP had to do to not also be an asshole is just...do what he did today years ago and I doubt anyone would have even bothered to track him for so long and he might have been able to get his gunshow namechange and fade to obscurity.

It's just because he's too stubborn to admit that the detractors were right about something. It's the same exact reason he was so resistant to banning Deirch. None of his fans care (or believed) that he wasn't playing Champions, and him finally admitting it doesn't change anything for us because we knew for years it was him.

He also showed no remorse during the reveal, in fact he showed negative remorse because mentally ill detractors shouldn't have been looking into his spending to begin with and he's just angry because he got caught. So why did he come "clean" when wanting to tell the truth doesn't factor into his decision making process at all (just like how not wanting to have a pedo around didn't factor into banning Derich)? Even if this was the truth, you'd have no reason to believe him when his story makes no fucking sense and he's outright admitting to you his MO is spinning a lie forever because he just wants people to shut up about it. Preaching to the choir, but this shit is on a new level.
Also, shitting on Craig in his invitation email, then admitting he lied to him for hours, after crying for over a year that the whole interview was a trap and they never wanted to believe him... what the fuck are you doing, Phil?

I am. Unless someone can show that this new account owner plays at wildly different times and has dramatically different behavior then he is lying. Especially the fact that he very deliberately got the account up to number 1 while he was going through his "Kino Casino bestowing the title of king upon him" arc. If there was any better time for him to spend like a retard to get number one (which I don't think he ever got before) then it was during the KC King/money buff arc.

The obvious answer is to capitalize on the DSP redemption arc. It's genuinely a genius move.

It makes no sense if you're familiar with the deep lore. Most people aren't. The people that watch Phil are not familiar with the evidence that pins him dead to rights on this issue, and will accept this story as reasonable. Even the ones that have an IQ above room temperature may question parts of his story, but will accept the general thesis that it was his account but he has since sold it.

Yes. People that have been angry at KC for glazing Phil have been completely felted. PPP has masterfully milked Phil of some of the best DSP content in years.

And the best part is that they are so transparently just using him through and through and very temporarily so. I think everyone else can see that DSP's "king saga" with the Kino Casino guys will come to an end and he will not get any sustained increase of users and he just admitted to lying about not only everything but the most substantial and central piece of evidence for the past few years.

Now that the WWE champions cat is out of the bag, what can DSP offer up about himself that is interesting? Reminiscing on the early FGC days? How about an interesting story about his job at the helicopter factory!

I’m not moving the goal post or coping, I genuinely think Phil is too dumb to google search most of his problems, and I’ve watched him not listen to people too many times to think someone could give him advice he would actually take. We clearly just have different views on his level of intelligence, I don't think anything goes on upstairs when he needs to sell something except "gotta sell something online, head to ebay"
