Two 8-month-old pit bulls that were loose in Nanaimo attacked several children, severely injuring at least one. Other people that came to aid the children were also injured.

The children were playing in a yard at the house of one of their friends. The dogs were from somewhere else in the neighborhood and had been cited for being at large previously.

One of the owners of the dogs came and got the dogs but did not stick around. The news interviewed the other owner, a Dangerhair that looked to be in her late 40s or early 50s. While she was devastated at what her dogs had done, she said to the reporter, "People are saying, look at this from the prospective of a parent, well, these dogs are my kids, too," and then she broke down crying.

It was later reported both dogs were euthanized, as there have been other incidents prior to this one, and due to the severity of the injuries the one particular child sustained.

To the dangerhair dog owner I would have to say, "If these dogs were your KIDS, you did a lousy job of raising them. Thank heavens you didn't spawn any of your own."

I'm not super knowledgeable on dogs so I could be totally wrong but I know someone with a boxer, and that animal is plain retarded and spastic. I can't imagine any creature significantly genetically related to it could even manage to muster the self control to maul something until it's dead.

Amazing. Everything about this is awful.

• The dog is in a cramped cage with her pups instead of a whelping den.
• Yelling at a dog trapped in a cage will stress the dog out. You’re just asking for the dog to kill her pups out of frustration at that point.
• I can’t tell if she’s joke yelling or if she’s projecting what people said about her in her teens and 20s onto her dog (and they’re right).
• Also, she made the choice to not neuter the poor animal.

Much as I dislike pitbulls and want them gone (humanely through mass sterilization), they are truly among God's most unfortunate creatures given that this is the standard of who "cares" for them. None of these puppies or that dog should exist, and without the trashy owner here allowing this dog to roam around the neighborhood unspayed this situation wouldn't have happened. It's truly amazing how much the pitbull epidemic shows the wounds of sin on the world.

I've rarely seen hardcore misanthropic behavior outside of shitbull defenders. Something about constantly defending the murder mutts changes them. It's an insane mentality that says, "I'd rather all the children in the world die before one single pitbull is harmed." Like, setting aside the pitbull's inherent volatility, it's just a dog. It's not a person, and it can be replaced pretty easily. I just don't understand it.

There's gotta be something more than that. There's a sheer, anti-human malevolence that isn't present in most retards. Most lolcows don't have it. The ones that do, like Moviebob, tend to have a flimsy rationale to justify it (in Bob's case, killing anyone remotely to the right of Mao Zedong will magically let humans go into space and take his hated virginity). It's insane, but it's understandable. If you have that mentality over a stupid dog, you are fundamentally broken on some deeper level.

Shit, my great-grandaunt shot one of her dogs for snarling and growling at me, and said "I ain't gonna have some goddamn mutt growling at my youngins!", so even that argument of "back in the old days" falls flat. Back in my day, if a dog bit a person and drew blood, it was taken out back and shot. When a predatory animal tastes human blood, something happens to it that drives it to taste more. There's a reason so-called "maneater" animals in the jungle were feared.
