Colin Gray asked investigators to explain the "seriousness of weapons and what they can do and how to use them and not use them" when they talked to his son.

Colin Gray admitted that there were firearms in the home that were used for hunting, according to the report. He told investigators that he was showing Colt Gray about firearms and safety to get him interested in outdoors and away from video games.

"It's kinda of a little bit of a shock so in whatever y'all are telling him, please instill in him that whatever this is, whatever or wherever this is coming from, this is no joke. Like it's no joke," said Colin Gray.

An investigator responded, "But we wouldn't be here if it was."

Colin Gray went on and said, "No, I know, I know, and I'm telling you right now we talk about it quite a bit. All the school shootings, things that happen. I'll hear, you getting picked on at school andis everything okay? That's why I keep going up there, you know, because you just never, you never really know, and I don't want anything to happen to him, so yeah."

A separate transcription of a phone call between Collin Gray and one of the investigators from the home visit alleged that Colt Colin and his father left Colt's mother.

"He just don't... and you know his momma is... to a lot of crap and he just wants to go to school, do his own thing and he doesn't want any trouble," said Colin Gray.

On the call, Colin Gray brought up again toinvestigators he was aware his son was getting picked on at school.

And it's just escalated to point where like his finals were last week and that was a lasting on his mind.So I'm frustrated with... the whole school handled all that.He wants to move out of the school district. It was just very difficult for him to go to school and not get picked on by you know it went from one thing to another to you know he was talking to a couple of friends he has. I was trying to get him on the golf team. Like,Oh look Colt's gay . He's dating that guy. Just ridiculed him day after day after day . The investigator then interrupted Colin Gray and told him, "I don't have any like suspicions about Colt or anything like that... My goal is to not leave any stone unturned in regards to this."

During the phone conversation, Colin Gray tells the investigator that he introduced bow hunting, a pellet gun and then a .22 and gun safety to his son.

"I worry about him and school and you know what would ever happen," said Colin Gray.
