My take on them delaying Trump's sentancing is that they really don't want any more focus on how ridiculous that case was. Trump not getting a jail sentence will bring attention to how retarded the charges were. Him getting jail time will bring even more attention to how retarded it was. So the best thing for the Dem's is to just keep shouting 34 felonies.

Pushing it until after the election. If Trump wins, they can just forget about it. The media can push the "he keeps getting away with it" narrative. They will spin up the next 4 years of non-sense conspiracy theories about Trump to undermine his Presidency and to divide the country.

If Kamala wins, it'll be forgotten.

If the election is contested, it'll be a massive weapon regardless of who is contesting it. Which I think will be the biggest reasons it's delayed.

Leftism is a religion that has no god figure, but absolutely has a devil figure. The thing is, the face of the devil is forever changing; whoever is either the sitting Republican president, Republican nominee, leading candidate for the nomination, or the more prominent party leader in the legislature becomes the new face of the devil, and all ills of society can be laid at their feet. No matter what they may or may not have "done" (in the bourgeois sense), they are worse than Robo-Space-Hitler, until such time as they no longer occupy the listed positions, at which point there can be a strange new respect if it suits your needs.

Slight powerlevel but Springfield is my hometown. I haven't lived there in ages though. It's been a shithole for nearly 40 years and is absolutely doomed. The city has been held hostage by the same clique of old-boys families for years who truly function as big fish in their little, shitty feifdom. Now they have cooperated with NGO's and probably the feds to bring in a permanent underclass to endlessly rent out tiny properties to 20+ people to with guaranteed 3-5K in benefits monthly. They have deliberately kneecapped almost any attempts at improving the city or attracting actual outside investment (even from within the rest of Ohio) so that they don't feel threatened with competition. The ordinary locals will bitch and moan about the Haitians and what's left of the city will get far worse, but like a lot of Americans, it's all talk. They'll be submissive as long as the authorities scream about how racist they are. You'll hear rumors about pets disappearing, cars rolling into people's yards, mysterious crashes and horrific gang violence and murder but mystifyingly, nobody will bother to actually upload footage of it happening. Classic rust belt despair. Glad I got the fuck out.
