I was very surprised when I found out how tiny a minority Christians are in Japan. The Japanese seem to adore Christmas and I've seen plenty of Christian things in Japanese movies, both live-action and anime, as well as in videogames. In fact The Legend Of Zelda was originally a franchise about a devout Christian warrior but they changed the religion in Ocarina Of Time. Some think due to pressure from Nintendo Of America who weren't happy about having Christianity depicted in games for some reason. (They would remove Christian words and symbols from American versions of Nintendo games apparently. I mean from any games for a Nintendo console, not just games made by Nintendo.) Although apparently they've eased up on that censorship now.

Reminds me of the creator of Neon Genesis Evangelion who, in an interview I saw once, talked about how he gets a kick out of watching everyone try to make connections between the tons of Christian iconography in Evangelion and what it means. He said that it has no purpose to the story and that out of all the religions, Christianity has the coolest iconography and symbolism, so he used it in the cartoon and that if had known Evangelion was going to be anywhere as big as it ended up, he wouldn't have done it.

I mean, what could his administration do at this point. No foreign government is going to take him seriously, he's all but admitted to straight up mental inability to run the job by his actions and stepping down from the campaign trail. Any deal he brokers will be null in months, and that's assuming you can get him coherent enough to run one. The kind of thing where even if they backpedal on it after, it becomes "She wants to do X, she just had to stop when everyone hated it." type shit. She'll off the cuff that one of her campaign promises is something like liquidating the assets of the wealthy to prevent the rise of another Trump, or a gun grabbing promise, or something in a similar vein. Something that in the moment sounds like "My audience will love this" and in immediate retrospect is absolutely toxic to anyone who's not an extremist.

Kamala wont actually debate Trump or even respond to him. Her instructions will be to focus on the canned response to the questions she will already be provided. It will seem awkard and dare i say weird. But it will get the clips and it wont kick up a shit storm.

And never forget that the right to privacy that ruling implied only extended to abortion as Wuflu showed. If it had extended to 'I'd rather not take this experimental shot and don't want to be persecuted for wanting to have some bodily autonomy' there might be a reason for men to support abortion, but we all saw how that played out.

There was a court case a few years before then, don't remember the details, that didn't get all the way to the SCOTUS where the plaintiffs were citing the right to privacy regarding a medical issue, and the judge explicitly said in his denial, "This has nothing to do with a woman's right to choose." So there had been precedent for some time that the right to privacy implied by the 9th amendment does, in fact, only apply to abortion.

The kind of future the left wants is when a guy asks a 12 year old girl to strip for him. In public. The girl not only does so, but with the support of her parents, does a twirk to seal the deal. All of it legal.

And it could all be solved with proper common sense ID laws. Either vote early with a proper ID shown at the time, or on election day. Absentee voting should be exceedingly rare and only under utmost scrutiny. No more unsolicited mailed out ballots or last-minute election law changes. If any politician or other government officials decry ID laws as racist/sexist/etc, I immediately question their motives and intentions. You've gotta show an ID to buy fucking spray paint from LOL-Mart, for fucks sake, and we don't see any riots or appearances by Al Sharpton over that. If you're somehow too stupid to have an ID, or with all of the early voting allowed, still can't make the time to get to the polls in the ~4weeks or so leading up to an election, then guess what?
