More information coming out from the mom and mom’s family.

The mom apparently called the school and spoke to a school guidance counselor for ten minutes just before the shooting happened. Colt had sent her text messages that sent her into a panic. Not all the messages haven’t been released but one said “I’m sorry mom”. The mom contacted to school saying it was an extreme emergency and they needed to locate her son. A reporter verified the call log showing his mom had a ten minute call with the school, just 20 minutes or so before the shooting started.

The maternal grandfather of Colt also said that Colin was a druggie that got his daughter started and strung out on drugs.

The grandfather certainly seems to defend the POS mom, but I said from the start Colin was probably just a functional addict whereas mom went turbo crackhead. Only another user is willing to remain in a relationship with an out of control addict, particularly when kids are involved.

A man Colin’s age still working at a low level in construction, living in rentals, getting evicted, etc… all points to a guy with substance abuse issues working in construction. Sounds like Colin was fucked in the head from a severely abusive childhood and the marriage was a shitshow of drugs, neglect and explosive fights. The marriage probably lasted as long as it did due to both abusing drugs and the toxic codependency that occurs as a result.

Given Colin’s upbringing neglected kids, substance abuse and constant fighting probably seemed like a normal family dynamic. He probably felt he was doing a lot better than his own parents because he did viciously beat his kids. (Marcee mentioned broken arms and concussions from the abuse Colin suffered in childhood. Sounds like he had a severely alcoholic and evil dad who enjoyed beating the shit out of his children using any object within easy reach.)

When someone at high school was called a fag, by multiple people, they usually were (or became) fags. Teenagers are not known for having nuance, in that respect.

People seem to have an obsession with his hair as proof he was some kind of fag, but I don't buy it. Firstly if you look closely at court photos can see a lot of split ends. Those can be eliminated by consistent brushing which a gay man would do. It looks like he just added a step of conditioning to make it look good which only takes at most 5 minutes a day in the shower.
I think that if you look into his past, you will find a person who died of cancer recently. If so, he was probably growing his hair out for locks of love, a charity which provides wigs for cancer patients out of donated hair. I'm even willing to clock that death as the motive of that's the case.
