Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

"Kay Vess ugly, uncanny face is totally down to graphics limitations, Chuds! Or, wait, she was supposed to look like hispanic Michael Jackson!"

Funny how "limitations" only ever applies to characters modeled after women, and not say, the ginger MC in Jedi Survivor.

It's not a conspiracy theory that they make characters, especially female ones ugly in games. It's just observing what is happening. We've seen plenty of examples when this is being talked about and the complaints against Asian games with sexy booba ladies. There is a current trend in woke content to make characters ugly. That's not a conspiracy theory to notice. That's just them saying, "don't notice." It's telling a lot of this progressive woke agenda stuff wants to remain hidden.

Filoni sucks at writing and Ahsoka was a nothing burger of a show

Why aren't we getting Asoka season 2 until 2026? The show was made to be just a tepid introduction for future stories. The biggest flaw is that it was a little bit of story. Which is fine if there'll be another season the following year. Will anyone care in a couple years? How much word of mouth will be, "It's fine but maybe wait to watch it until the next season is out."

They've produced some shit but they'd be better staying the course with regularly done shows, even if they're not the greatest. The should have even done a Boba Fett season 2 by now instead of abandoning it.

It certainly feels like everything has now just been abandoned. We'll get Andor next year but that's a final piece of that. The following year Ashoka (maybe) and The Mandolorian movie. It's all such poor planning. I wonder if making The Mandorlian s4 into a movie completely fucked up all the TV show plans. They're extending universe on TV they were planning got thrown out. Hence the delays.

Star Wars Outlaws was probably going to get a lot of shit anyway, but I sincerely doubt the suits were prepared for Ubisoft to fuck the pooch so badly with all those bugs and bad animations.
This feels even worse since from all the gameplay footage I've watched there's just nothing to do and no choices to be made. Starfield, as flawed as it is, definitely is a better foundation to build a Star Wars open world game off of.

To be frank, unless you're dealing with Nintendo who keeps their shit on consoles and has a good sense of quality, buggy games are the norm now. Devs and corpos saw gamers give Skyrim and Fallout New Vegas a pass despite being buggy messes, hailing them as the best games ever and buying a shit ton of copies for Skyrim, and the former realized that they can ship their games half done because people will tolerate it.

I'm scanning over gameplay footage and cutscene compilations trying to see one simple selling point: Does Kay at any point do anything even remotely criminal? Kind of a big deal if the game about the underworld has any actual illegal activities in it. So far, I've not seen much.

And why did an organization dedicated to wiping out surviving Jedi get their asses handed to them to a failed padawan like Ahsoka?

Because she is Anakin, but better and with boobs.

I am sure Filoni really wanted to have her ger a lesbo makeout session with that green chick. It is what a horny 13 year old would want, so it fits his mental faculties.

Oh, if only. At least we'd get some cheesecake if that were the truth. Instead, Filoni's mindset is closer to that of a 5-year-old who can't believe that good people can commit evil deeds. Even a kids' manga like Naruto understands that good people can be made to do bad things if given the right order by the right authority figure. Like when Itachi slaughtered his own family because the government he worked for ordered him to. In the same vein, this is why the OG Clone Troopers killed their Jedi leaders with no inhibitor chips; they knew in their guts it was wrong, the Jedi were like family to them, but the highest authority in the realm ordered them to do it, and so they did it, because they were trained to follow orders without question.

The phrase ''good soldiers follow orders'' would've carried more weight if the soldier uttering it believed in it fully as he was gunning down people whom he considered to be family/friends, as opposed to him being hypnotized by a fucking bio-chip. It'd be a tragedy; the one thing the clones were trained to believe in above all things, obedience to authority, is being used to force them to kill people whom they know are good. But they were trained to do what they are told unquestioningly, and that leads to the tragedy of Order 66.

At least the SWTOR Smuggler campaign has you teaming up with a gambler and a senator to do things that the Empire sees as illegal, and if you want, you can attack both the Republic and the Empire at the end and become a true pirate outlaw king.

The Iowas by contrast their entire secondary armament could be used as anti-air.
This is also why I don't take any of the "ISDs have no point defence" argument seriously, because it assumes that the turbolaser batteries aren't built to handle both fighters and capital ships when the Clone Wars readily proved the effectiveness of mass fighter attacks. Also the real advantage that Rebel fighters had was that they all had hyperdrives so that they could strike without needing a carrier, which allowed them far more strategic flexibility than Imperial doctrine would.
Does Kay at any point do anything even remotely criminal?
Yes, but she only targets other criminals or the Empire and it never involves anything sordid or morally questionable.

It brings me sadness to report that James Earl Jones has sadly died today.

Memes aside RIP. Said it on the dedicated thread but this man was unironically one of the finest voices in media and he made Vader the villain a billion other writers tried to rip off, and neither pre-disney-era insanity or disney-era pozz could taint this...no matter how hard they tried

RIP, poor old guy. Free from Clown World.
Can you imagine what it'd be like to be born during the Great Depression, live through the days of WWII, witness rapid technological change and major historical events (such as the moon landing), and then in your latter years you see this world decay into insanity?
