This all just confuses me, what is Sonys tactic here? How does this help them? If I was just a normie game buyer why would I buy this over a Switch, or a Xbox Series with Gamepass, or fuck even the original PS5? I mean I know this is supposed to be a more premium product so niggers can show off but that can’t be a market that’s very profitable when most of them are just stealing the consoles anyway….. What the fuck are you doing Sony, least with the PS3 that thing was actually a impressive piece of tech and was at the time not a bad price for a fully featured Blu-Ray player but this is fucking retarded.

The PlayStation 3 famously lost a lot of ground to the Xbox 360 thanks to the enormous price tag, even at a time when the economy was very healthy, and they had amassed an enormous amount of goodwill from the still-unsurpassed PlayStation 2. Even with being able to lease a game console (which sounds utterly insane to me), it's just such an unappealing thing when big games are still being released on PlayStation 4, and grocery bills are exceeding $200.

PSVR2 sure did flop from having an enormous price tag and no content, too. Sony are completely out of their minds here.

For that asking price, you might as well wait for the next gen or switch 2 next year. That price is more new console price not mid-upgrade version of a current gen console.

Also this dependant on ai scaling is not that great. Cause a lot of games don't properly implement it and just causes the game to be blurry. The newest space marine 2 is one I can think of with poor AI scaling implementation. Causes the game to look blurry as hell. Once off, the game looked more visually pleasing.

At least the japs were kind enough to include a disc drive with the PS3. I am greatly enjoying watching Sony speedrun their own demise. They peaked at the PS2. I can't wait to see what they'll do next and reading the cope from sonygger cucks as they go into debt for their paperweights will be glorious

By the way, if you're looking for a PS5 Pro equivalent GPU, it's an RX 6800. They mention "67% more compute units", the regular PS5 has 36 so you'll end up with 60 CU's using some napkin math, which is what the 6800 has. So if you want to try the "ghetto" PS5 Pro challenge, grab a used 3700X and RX 6800 for your next build.
