It's a movie

What annoys me about that first sentence is the user wonder if it should be made into a reboot. Just because a movie was made before you were born, does not mean it should be replaced.

I'd like to see them make a new movie set in the same setting, expand on some of the plot threads the original left open-ended. Like how the video game had their rivalry with a gang called the Destroyers.

But I wouldn't Hollywood to do it and not fuck it up. The Warriors is a good film precisely because it's a product of the late 70s.

Probably because it's not a very interesting pitch. "A gang is on the run trying to avoid other gangs" is such a simple concept that you don't need the IP to make it work, and nobody wants a retread of the original unless there's something unique enough about it to make it stand out. But then it's easier to just tell a new story. The movie's also so old that you can't get the original cast back together for a sequel. A sequel with a new cast is a possibility, but it'd a definite gamble.

On a different note:

I really like the Tweet where someone compares Kamala to a Seinfeld character, and Bob goes into a long-winded, completely incomprehensible rant trying to DEBOONK it. It still amazes me just how bad he is at writing.

There's a video floating around of body cam footage allegedly from Ohio. It has allegedly been deboonked as showing an Hattian immigrant who has just killed and partially ate a cat. What it actually shows is some unidentified black person who just killed and partially ate a cat. What hasn't been deboonked are the multiple videos of people complaining to the mayor and city council of the problem of the massive influx of Hattian savages. You'll notice that no one focuses on those. If they do it's to just say "nuh-uh!" and dismiss them because of one video.
