There’s a fine possibility for another Breloom in our near future. Just give this guy a leprechaun hat and Dizzy Punch as an evo move and we’re russet golden.

❤️ Breloom was the MVP of my Inclement Emerald playthrough. Spore, Swords Dance, Technician Mach Punch & Bullet Seed for rare instances where I couldn't punch the fuck out of something, but still out sped it.

Started a new hack rom, scorched silver I guess, a sequel years later to gold and silver. The gyms are so fucking hard, I got bodied by Falkner of all people (he was fat)

  • Horrifying
Reactions: Executive Petrel
Im done with emerald rouge. the furthers i have gotten is the third elite four member and im done with this bullshit. One fucking miss is all it took to wipe me. lets give the psychic elite four member a field that makes dark attacks not work.

For the 60 hours i put into the game, This is all i can say.

I am so fucking pissed.

I downloaded a pre patched 1.3 version but my galarian yamask wasn't evolving at all and I was looking for the item the whole map as I played. Turns out I was playing the 1.2 version all this time and every problem that I had (non reutilisable tms, stuck hms and so on was fixed on the actual 1.3)

And the single fucking pokémon that was bugged was the fucking galarian yamask. Ot was never going to evolve since I didn't play tje updated version. Fucking hell.

And one of the problems was the limited item space on both backpack and PC, that was also fixed on 1.3.

I am so fucking pissed that I took that ghost sword pokemon in my pc, used cheats and leveled to 70, this bugged my backpack with hms, berries and so on.

I just finished beating the 8th gym and the save game can't be ported, it is a shame since the game is really good and I love this sequel to GS.

Pat attention to the versions you play. (Base galarian yamask is fucking shit tho, I was all the gime thinking about dropping him from the team)

Pissed as fuck

Look at what they did to my boy Tyranitar over the last 2 gens.
Removal of Pursuit is a bitch, ain't it?
While not as often talked about as Dexit, it is just as retarded that they removed moves, and another reason why I am never touching a typical Pokemon game again until they bring everything back or try something completely different like with PLA.

Return was also a fucking crippling loss because Normal types are left with Double Edge or Body Slam for physical STAB
Meh, personally i stick Facade on all my normal types since statuses are everywhere, so you're bound to get poisoned/burned/paralyzed in almost every match you are involved in.

Outside of special attackers, only time I DON'T use facade is:
  • Cinccino - I use Skill Link as it's ability so I might as well give it Tail Slap since it's also using Bullet Seed and Rock Blast.
  • Braviary - I use Sheer Force Life Orb on it, so might as well give it Crush Claw (this was before gen9 when it FINALLY got body slam)
  • Toucannon - Motherfucker coudn't even learn it until gen9. How do you fuck that up to where it's a normal type that can't learn a normal type move???

Beat the first league of Scorched Silver, man this swampert carried HARD, such a beast of pokémon. My ass was saved all the time by the Quick Fang item.

Now more about the game: I never realized but me and my older brother in game were actually the son and daughter of the Silver character and we fight against our grandmother trying a new scheme to go back in time and stop red before he could fuck with Giovanni's plan.

Our rival is the older brother who is a straight up bully like in that home alone movie. Really funny how he is full of shit but want to beat his father (Silver) now working as champion.

In the post game we go to some tropical island and find Gold there. I didn't finish the post game yet.

As for the game, it is the best Johto map I ever played, since it basically is 20 years later and they add new stuff to improve the old map with new areas and some subtle ambient storytelling like Kurt shack being taken over by his granddaughter and she modernize it, making a research lab and so on.

The gyms are changed too, some with new trainers and new types amd some with the older with improved team. I usually dislike normal Johto because of the braindead difficulty and how less viable pokémons usually are (I have a rule in my playstyle that I love to use pokemons that I never used before and usually caught early, so all my growth is with the same early shitters)

I loved Talonflame and Scolipede, they carried me hard, I never used a serious rollout play until now, but this fucking bug is FUCKING amazing. (The Whitney Milktank battle was a rollout battle and I won)

Now after many regions, I want to experience some new, I never played pokemon black and white and I want a hackrom that gives me the best experience, with improved everything to make a good first impression.

Thinking of Volt White, any recommendations to a new played that never played it?

From what I know, there are no that many hacks of Gen 5.
Drayano's hacks are a safe, reliable option, bu the only hack I played was played Pokémon White Deluxe, which never was fully finished. (The postgame of Pokémon White Deluxe is clearly unfinished.)

Got a drayano hack redux in portuguese because this specific version wasn't made in english I guess.

Got 3 badges and lost at all three. I ddn't expected them to be a full party right up at the first gym, got BTFO hard.

And not gonna lie, I hate the 3D map and the pokemon sprited, I much prefer the more 2d style of 4 gen than this one.

That big city is really annoying to walk on.

This is my current team, I want more new pokemons that arent krabby and Sandile but most of them are old ones introduced in older gens

Wait; what do you mean 'Redux'?
*searches*
That has to be an unofficial version of Blaze Black/Volt White 1. While I know that feeling about wanting a redux version of the original version when the sequel got a redux, I strongly recommend that you immediately sto playing and start over wi the official Blaze Black or Volt White, since struggling with a language that you do not know is going to spoil your impression, especially since a big part of the fun of Gen 5 is the story.
Disclaimer: I do not know Portuguese, but Spanish, which is very close.

Edit of proof: https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonROM...e_black_2_and_volt_white_2_redux_has/i2bh7sk/

I know portuguese so it isn't a problem, and they decided just to translate the story and not the moves and itens, so the most important is intact for me.

I actually want to play the game to be able to experience the pokemon special manga better since I stopped at black and White and I want to go back.

Man I read this post about the redux of black 2 and it has everything that I want, but according to the makers of redux 1 there are some limitations that couldn't be made.

>Attempting to fish in a body of water should no longer fail. Instead, the player should be guaranteed an encounter with each cast of the rod!

I want this so bad, since I play on Speed up mode, fishing is really hard. I just can't stand official pokemon velocity and play a 300%-400% speed up version most of the time

Just finished Clay. This is my current team.

Lost my first battle then trained them all to lvl 50 expecting them to outspeed the level 45 excadrill who had move counters to all my lads. And nothing worked, no matter the combination, I only had a Swanna left and he had excadrill on the field and a full hp nidoking.

Then it happend, he missed the rock slide and my swanna hit it with scald, killing him. His hippodown fucked my whole team with stone edge.

Damn this hack isn't easy at all, I only managed to beat just Elesia clean so far. I lost at least once for everyone else. Not wanting to use other gens mons doesn't help (I tried fishing but there is just no good choice), so I sticked up with KINGLER (HE HAS THE HIGHEST ATTACK TOO AT 160).

still pissed at that fucking excadrill, how it could outspeed the zebrstrike

I always found it odd that so many people consider generation 2 to be the quintessential pokemon games when there were barely any good pokemon that were introduced.
I've noticed an extremely reliable correlation between what generation is someone's favorite and which generation was the first one they remember playing through all the way. Gold & SIlver came out in 2000 in the USA and HGSS in 2009, which makes a fairly large chunk of the current online Pokemon fanbase the right ages to have Gen 2 and its remakes be their first "real" games.

They're also fairly milquetoast entries in that they don't really innovate, but also don't have any of the Gen 1 jank with a substantial postgame, so I think it's not unreasonable to see them as the "standard" for Pokemon games.

I was there when Pokemon exploded in Gen 1 and this is correct. Both for the generational aspect but also that Gen 2 managed that perfect sequel status of "the same, but more stuff and/or fine-tuned."

It helps that Gen 2 is essentially in many ways more like Gen 1, Part 2 - leftovers that didn't quite make the original games' cut - alongside being overseen by Tajiri himself before ceding overall control to Masuda. Gen 3 really should be the true Gen 2 onward with how much things began to change in everything from gimmicks to graphics.

I always wondered how it'd be to have a what-if where nearly all cut Gen 1 and 2 Pokemon made it into those games alongside the actual ones, and a lot of the original gameplay or locales as well, but that's it and there's no Gen 3 onward. Probably a lot better for Pokemon's "soul" the more I think on it.
