People keep saying this and I don't get why. Trump is a loud, bombastic guy and he acted about how he always does. That's why people like Trump so much, he did just fine and was entertaining. Kamala just came across as unlikable, it reminded me of how Rekieta is now.
Trump focused too much on things that make him look foolish (The Haitian "cuisine" thing isn't confirmed nor debunked, so Trump really should have held his tongue on that), and had issues with really nailing Kamala for her mistakes (his best, most coherent statement in the debate was when he talked about the Afghanistan fuckup and how that directly led to the Ukraine invasion)
Also, Trump really should have started playing the "fact-checking" job for the moderators, because Kamala got away with a lot of blatant lies. ("Very Fine People", "Bloodbath", not supporting mandatory gun buybacks, that we don't currently have soldiers in active combat zones, etc.)

Ultimately, I'll just repeat myself by saying debates really don't matter beyond farming clips for campaign ads, and when you analyze the debate in that way, Kamala is the clear loser. Trump didn't do anything to ruin his messaging, while that Israel statement from Kamala can and likely will have disastrous effects on Muslim voter turnout, which was Biden's key to the Rust Belt in 2020.

Kaitlan Collins posted a longer version of the clip to her Twitter, pointing her crooked yenta finger at Vance and pretending that Haitians being feral is as unbelievable as a Bigfoot sighting.

I don’t have any proof that Kaitlan Collins is a jew or a man, but like the story of Haitians killing pets, these accusations are merited and should be investigated. Her AGP smirk is as unsettling as seeing The Tonton Macoute roving through an Ohio suburb:

Why does Kaitlin Collins have 100% man-jaw in almost every picture I see of her? Also, she didn’t look convincing when she seriously tried pulling ”Bigfoot” as an excuse. That almost sounds like a school teacher lecturing a first grader about why ghosts are not real.

I think Trump left out "why hasn't she done it" til the end because it would allow her to justify her positions. That's what I think personally.
She has no positions (that don't benefit her or her cronies), but it is entirely possible that Trump isn't aware of that (yet).

Simultaneously, he's gotten some great one liners in the face of hostile moderators. Debate #2 against Clinton was a massive net positive for him. I absolutely think he stands to benefit from a second debate if he plays his cards right.

But I can see the angle, refusing to fight on your opponent's terms as a sort of power move. Kamala certainly didn't make the case for herself and all the talking points they threw out are well past their expiration date, so unless they manage to make this election a referendum on Trump again(I don't think that's likely, people have largely made their minds up about him) maybe he thinks Harris needs/benefits from debate #2 far more than he does.

Then again, maybe he's doing le based MAGApede 4D chess and just trying to lock Harris in for debate #2 in a way that she can't back out of. Who knows at this point.
Trump can ignore the 2nd debate and tell everyone that kamala is free to host a townhall if she wants to tell the public what her policies are. these last 2 debates were complete wastes of time, trump can also say that.

I mean, it's going to feed into the narrative that he lost badly and is running from another round. I figured he was locked in and already planning for round 2. Then again maybe he just doesn't feel like doing another 3 on 1.
Negotiation. Kamala very publicly tossed aside debates 2 and 3 that he asked for, claiming she was owed the debate she inherited from Biden and Trump deserved no more of the queen's time. I'm sure they thought this would be a one and done -- swoop in, girlboss Trump to death, the public would fall at her feet and she'd be carried to an easy victory.

Now, she very much needs that second debate. She needed to gain ground on him. Needed a Yas-slay-kween moment. Needed to sell herself to the American public. She didn't achieve her goals in that debate, and that was with the ABC moderators setting them up like a softball T.

She needs another try. Does Trump? He can rally instead to get his message out. She can try but no one shows up. Media helps her, but she's not putting in any effort. So she needs another try to get him to stumble and gain ground on him.

What is she willing to give Trump to make him agree to another debate? Because now he can demand concessions. She's not negotiating from a position of strength. She can't demand another debate at a friendly outlet with biased moderators this time.

Make no mistake, this was a very bad week for Kamala. She needed a killshot. She didn't get one, even with people holding Trump down and steadying the rifle for her, metaphorically speaking. Now, she needs a second debate, which isn't guaranteed and will cost her, which will put her in front of the cameras again -- and every time she's on camera, less people like her. To say nothing that Trump will be studying the debate, preparing. Next time he'll have a better idea of what to go after her with, what her weaknesses are.

That was a truly repulsive and effective metaphor

She looks like sour milk smells.

Millennials are easily entertained and satisfied. They are the most understood generation ever. They are solved game. They want latest games on their switch/steam, streaming services to get their marvel movie quips, visit that new local red brick IPA bar, and that yearly vacation to Disney world/trendy costal elite city with more red brick IPA bars. As long as these simple needs are meet, they will feel relevant, not left behind.

The reason Boomers have disdain today is because they became entitled Karens asking for managers. Boomers still think a good firm handshake will get you a job. To be honest, I do not see Millennials turning into this. Millennials are passive-aggressive with their grievances, they will leave a bad review or spread word of mouth. Millennials understand modern networking and socials, they know they have to evolve.

Not a Millennial apologist, I despise nothing more than a Stomp-Clap-Hey rolled-up flannel shirt with sleeve tattoos and a beard Millennial.
The thing is, a good firm handshake will get you a job. The problem is that millennials and zoomers are so autistic and overthink things that what they think to themselves as a good firm handshake ends up actually being a creepy tryhard slimy handshake.

The lack of even paying lip service to the whole pro-palestine movement is turning off a large number of progressives as well. The number who actually stay home because of it might not be huge but looking at the margins from both 2016 and 2020 swing states, a few thousand can absolutely be decisive.

This. And to all the incels out there: “just bee urself” really does work.

If you are attractive, affluent & nuerotypical, sure. But if you are ugly, broke & autistic like 99% of farmers going up to a girl to talk about the latest consumerism you'll get a false allegation in 2 seconds flat.

That's like telling a homeless person food doesn't matter or a rich person saying money doesn't matter, like no shit you are in no position to lose it or was born without it.

It was Brave New World for me, I think Brave New World Expells perfectly the dangers and authoritarianism of comfort and security that is unearned. Right now they are tightening the belt on the working class and making it harder and harder for social mobility to be possible.

The solution?
Just feed them porn, drugs, and euphoria.
(I wanted to wait until the debate was over to respond to this)
Of the three insanely popular dystopian novels (Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451, and 1984), I have an appreciation for BNW in that Huxley aimed for the most wild predictions of the three, yet generally misses the mark more than them.
As a result, the book is both precognitive in ways that the other two weren't (predicting planned obsolescence with "Ending is better than mending", rampant and normalized drug use, state mandated child sex, etc.) but it can also be completely and utterly wrong (for example, Huxley didn't predict that there's a lot more money to be made in treatments over cures, and that disease would never be eradicated in a society like that)

it's not the start and end, but yeah, being able to walk in with your balls in a wheelbarrow like "oh yeah, you fucks are in luck, God's gift to your business is here, assholes" is an important skill

Greenland is part of "the Kingdom of Denmark" and Greenland's citizens are also legally Danish citizens.
And Wales is technically a Principality rather than a Kingdom in the United Kingdom, which refers to Scotland and England and yet is part of the same political unity; just how Greenland is a subject of its king yet does have political autonomy. I am aware that they are granted citizenship of Denmark also just as half the US Congress has citizenship of Israel. Stop hitting Wikipedia and look deeper if you really must verify for yourself rather than listen. IF the people of Greenland voted in a referendum to join the USA, that would be sufficient legal basis on Greenland's part to do so. Denmark could not legally block it.

I'll repeat something I said again, but the effects things like that have will be minimal, because Leftists are unprincipled.
It should've been political suicide for her to take a pro-gun stance only a week after a mass shooting, and getting endorsed by a bunch of Neocons should hurt her popularity with her core base, but as I said, they're unprincipled. The Democrat candidate could literally be a clone of Trump and they would still vote for him just because he's on the Blue Team.
The Israel thing is different, because Muslims have principles.
