If I recall he said Gore was going to win in 2000, and that election proved to be extremely close. Bush won by less than a 1,000 votes. Don’t trust these “analysts,” they live in their own delusion if they think the economy and military is strong under Biden.

If anything this election is also looking to be very close, and I still think it will be like 2016 and 2020 where it comes down to less than 80,000 votes.

Notice how in 1992 when Clinton won a resounding victory, he won re-election in 96, and in 2000, the nation swung hard to the right and Bush edged out a victory. Bush actually became more popular in his reelection bid and won the popular vote against Kerry in 04. Then, by 08 people were so tired of Bush and the nation swung hard to the left. Eight years of Obama and the nation swung hard to the right again, allowing Trump to edge out a victory.

I think Pétion had the better idea, breaking the plantations up and parceling the estates out to the ex-slaves in an effort to turn them into yeomen with land of their own that they would want to cultivate independently. Most likely the healthiest choice for the future of Haitian society, though it would've needed a lot more time than it got historically to actually work and it caused state revenues to crater in the short term since the newly landed Haitians were more interested in growing food to feed themselves over the usual export crops.
