General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

thats the thing, Twitch doesn't actually care, their just Neoliberal fuckwads who dont want a PR Disaster if someone actually kill themselves on stream
I agree with this but what else is Twitch supposed to do here other than banning her? Seems like a damned if they ban her, damned if they don't kind of PR situation.

Nothing says "we're concerned for your mental health" like banning her for a month over it.

"We heard you aren't doing so hot, so we're going to make your life miserable and even more uncertain. Feel better soon."
What? Who thinks like this? This is psychopath behavior.
This expectation that a corporate streaming platform is supposed to somehow be looking out for her mental health is probably a mental illness of it's own.

And this further mindset of "gosh she's in a rough spot so they should just not enforce their TOS by banning her" is how you get actual deranged people trying to weaponize mental health to avoid punishment because they think if they just caveat bad behavior with threats of self harm it will grant them immunity. People legitimately in these positions need to speak to professionals not broadcast it live to the world.

What’s also interesting is I remember Pippa having a drunken melt down stream on Twitch where she was trauma dumping about family members getting fucked up by going off to war and coming back as completely different people… Pippa didn’t get banned for that, which seems like a pretty similar situation to the Shondo situation… did she allude to killing herself during that stream or something or just being an emotional train wreck in general?

Possibility that Pippa's was just never noticed/reported and shondo's was. Which can be frustrating but just is how it is with any large social media platform.

Shondo per the archived vod went menhera and made suicide comments/jokes.

I am reminded of how Fumino Tamaki, despite being reasonably popular, was a pngtuber for over a year post debut because the company wouldn't spend a single dollar to get her a better computer or phone. Note that she is Nijisanji second Gen.

That was on a youtube stream rather than a Twitch one, where she said she'd have killed herself live if she kept doing children's content.

This is probably old news to a lot of people but I recently learned that Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion and Lunacid were made by the same person and that that person is a vtuber:
His channel has been inactive for a while but this is where he would stream. Haven't watched any of his stuff yet but I thought some people here might find it interesting:

Akuma Kira is a gross tranny.

That is all.

Myth's 4th anniversary was really nice. I always like when they switch their songs. I did not expect the broadway muscial song and its choreo to be that good. Their best group song so far imo

Flare's probable reaction to the live:

Marine finally gets her really weird 3D model fixed. She also has a big announcement, possibly a solo live the way she hypes it up.

She got very upset thinking about the decline of America and how her uncle went to the middle east amd came back a shell of a man, a shadow of what he once was, and how much that scared her. If she mentioned anything about killing herself, and I don't remember any instance of it, it would've just a one off joke and not an entire segment.

Apparently there was a Holo Event at a Malaysian with Yagoo, Ollie, and Kobo where they did interviews about how the process of selecting talents worked.

Then, Kobo put Yagoo on the spot to ask him about an ID version of the Stars.

He said something along the lines of they want to really focus on building up their current talents before expanding into unknown territory

Here is a testimony of someone who attended the event
