Trump taken to safety after Secret Service opens fire on man with possible gun at his Palm Beach golf club

Donald Trump was taken to safety by the Secret Service after agents opened fire on a man who was spotted with what may have been a gun while the former president was on the links, according to law enforcement sources.

Sources said the Secret Service spotted a suspicious individual on the Trump International Golf Course West Palm Beach, and opened fire when agents saw what appeared to be the barrel of a gun.

It’s not clear whether the man was on the course or near it.

An agent opened fire, shooting multiple times.

“President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity. No further details at this time,” Trump spokesman Steven Cheung said Sunday afternoon.

The man was later arrested by local police on I-95.

It comes almost exactly two months after Thomas Matthew Crooks shot Trump at a rally in Butler, Pa. on July 13 — wounding him in the ear.

Sen. Lindsey Graham took to X minutes after news of the shooting broke to laud the former president for his fortitude.

“Just spoke with President Trump. He is one of the strongest people I’ve ever known. He’s in good spirits and he is more resolved than ever to save our country.”

The West Palm Beach course is about five miles inland from Mar-a-Lago, which Trump dubbed the “Winter White House.”

The Secret Service — which came under widespread criticism following the July assassination attempt — wrote on X that it was investigating a “protective incident” involving the former president that occurred shortly before 2 p.m.

The agency said it’s coordinating with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office on the investigation.

Initial reports suggested two people were firing at each other. However, sources said investigators now believe the Secret Service agent was the only shooter.

The man’s motives are not yet known. He was arrested by Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputies.

The White House issued a statement soon after the incident: “The President and Vice President have been briefed about the security incident at the Trump International Golf Course, where former President Trump was golfing. They are relieved to know that he is safe. They will be kept regularly updated by their team.”

This is a developing story.

I know it's fun to claim that glowies did it, but when it comes to Trump assassinations I don't think they are behind them.

All the attempts have been too incompetent, if they wanted to pull it off they would have by now. All it ends up doing is boosting his popularity and playing into his victim complex. You can't tell me the glowies seriously want Trump to be president, so assuming they aren't retarded, it's probably not them. But based off the secret service actions maybe I've got too much faith in them.

I agree that it's probably just retards who fell for the media's "TRUMP IS LITERALLY FUCKING HITLER!!!! AAAA!!!!!" sensationalism, but the feds certainly aren't helping. Remember, Thomas Crooks was on the FBI's radar.

I know when choosing who to vote for, I always like to side with the faction committing the most assassination attempts

What's with this guy's Ukraine fetish. I wonder if he's genuinely connected and is worried Trump's going to cut off the flow of laundering money, or if he's just bonkers. Probably the latter

Look at the way say Nick fuentes talks about Trump, they are sick of him. He comes with so much baggage that makes the right look bad but doesn't do anything to make that worth it.

Let's be honest a lot of the dislike for Trump is against him personally and if the GOP ran some random guy with the same platform there would be way less media outrage.
Who cares what Nick has to say, go kys you homosexual gropyer.

Disagree. If nothing else, he was smart enough to start mending fences with North Korea. To me, this is akin to Nixon going to China in 1972, which I remember well. Was also in Korea for the 'tree incident' in 1976. Saw the attack on TV.

After the first summit with Kim, tensions on both sides eased measurably on the Korean Peninsula. Even after the failed summit in Hanoi, there were no recriminations on either side, since both men knew the other was always willing to talk.

The Biden regime has done nothing with this. The North Koreans keep improving their nukes and their delivery systems. Suggest if President Trump had been re-elected in 2020 we'd have an embassy in P'yongyang and NK an embassy in Washington, building relations and further lessening tensions. Hope this can happen under a second Trump Administration.
The North Korea tard wrangling under Trump was honestly one of his finest moments. He actually cooled tensions. He even got the Norks to send back some bodies from the Korean war, which is pretty mental. It was a good time. Things wern't blowing up, North Korea, while not a ally, wasn't being retarded, and there was a path to hopefully fixing relations as time went on. Trump made so much headway and Biden squandered all of it.

Thank you for the response. So basically they've vigilantes in our government? Wild but not impossible imo
Vigilantes perhaps isn't the best way to describe them, more that they don't care about the law to some degree. The term has a lot of overlap with the concepts of informants, infiltrators, sleeper agents and double agents.
