I think its legit. All part of the greater problem of this generation being lost and not knowing what to do while getting constant signals about Wunderkin 20 year old making bank in Silicon Valley, top 30 under 30 to watch for, etc. They got sold lies in school that if you pass and get a college degree then you too will be making stacks.

My dad was 39 with three kids when he went back to college to get a masters degree in a field completely different from what he got his BA in and now makes very good money and will retire soon. Unless you are like 50 years old it's never really too late to go back to school.

I have seen similar stories on Reddit on the many different state, city and and whatever small communities such as colleges. Many of these posts are deleted by the mods and memory holed because the portray protected people in a negative light.
