But rather, both foreign AND national influence to weaken and loyalize the military. Purge the true patriots loyal to America and force them to quit. Fill the military with nothing but the blindest loyalists possible.

Despite how much it hurts to admit this is probably true. People have been conditioned from a young age to not fight back. (Ex: zero tolerance policies in schools that tell you not to punch back when you get punched.) 2024 is the last chance to make things right without civil bloodshed. I don't know how they would've caught him at all without it. I doubt the SS guy had a good view of him or the vehicle for a description.

Great presence of mind from that bystander if true. Now, his phone records were extremely conspicuous so I bet they would have started tracking him down, but by the time law enforcement got those records he would have had quite a head start. He seems to have put a lot of thought into his little plan, somehow knowing the location and time where Trump would be, as well as bringing makeshift "plate" and stealing a license plate to cover his tracks.

The SS guy was firing with a pistol at distance at a shadow of a barrel poking out of a fence. Hitting him would've been pure luck. I suspect it was more to distract/suppress the shooter and sound the alarm. This isn't a video game.

I guess the SS didn't want the potential assassin to get the first shot this time. Good for them, they're learning.
