There are loads of millennials with real college degrees right now who aren't doing that spectacularly, and even if they can maintain a stable well paying job they might be able to afford a house on two incomes but it won't be in some ritzy gated community.
Plus that's cool if you don't have kids, but your children are going to have to leave the gated community to go to school.

My point is just that young people (people in general) are going to have to engage their brain a little bit and learn to adapt beyond just going to college and assuming everything will play out from there. It isn't 1970 anymore.

A lot of Gen Z is going into Blue Collar work, the trades meme exists for a reason. The main issue is that those who do well in the trades or tech are hardly compensated given the mass wave of DEI, H1Bs and illegals flooding in. It has been going down for years. The 60s poisoned the well by making sex easy to the point of being a commodity, while breaking gender norms that created attraction. Standards are both too high and low and no one is happy with current relationships. Too much "Live life like you are in your 20s" promoted to create anything meaningful.

I've seen people make quasi-cults out of NGE, Lain, and Chainsaw Man. Most edgy online communities appealing to terminally online zoomers use motifs from those anime as part of their branding (r/GSSP, Lainchan/Macintosh Cafe, transmaxxing communitis, and most YT meme pages/Discord servers). The Yesterweb is what every online community is like when you get deep enough in.

The Foodist/Frootists are, and they engage in the same devotion/total control/fragmenting of reality to get teenagers to kill themselves, cut on camera, and laugh at DNB.

When I think of cults I think of total control of the involved members, financial physical and essentially mind control. Your labor and efforts go to the cult, deviation is punished, your children are raised by the cult, simply seeing your family is over the line, your identity as a person is subsumed into the cult, and next thing you know your helping to intimidate people or perhaps a murder here and there.

As I said above, this isn't just esoteric tranny communities; this is every online community. There's always pressure to financially support the community; it can be as well-reasoned as buying a bunch of toys you genuinely want or as stupid as buying a $65 Youtuber t-shirt to post for updoots on Reddit or paying $20 so you have a chance to be noticed by an e-celeb who doesn't know you exist. You'll spend time working for the community by commenting, liking, and reposting so that it can be boosted in the algorithm. If you say something that crosses the line in the community (like that some revered show is actually crap or that maybe, just maybe, Israel has a right to defend itself), you'll face ostracization by getting downvoted, ratioed, or even banned. You'll spend less and less time with your family because you're constantly online, and eventually all your old interests and hobbies will be abandoned for the community. Fandom has become something truly morbid; it's especially bad when your fandom is around some dysgenic, unskilled, unqualified faggot who got popular online for some reason (e.g. FallenChungus, Destiny, Vaush, etc).

They already are cult members even if they dont know it yet. Reddit communities behave exactly like traditional cults do. Which is why so many lonely depressed autistic people become gay, trannies and furries. They use Reddit and Discord as a friend simulator and end up in these communities who are usually the first and only people to accept them.

Reddit is truly scary. Every sub takes itself seriously and has a bunch of mantras and opinions to repeat, and you'll end up utterly distorted from your previous self (e.g. a young boy who spent his whole life liking being a boy will come to truly believe he's a girl). 4chan does the same thing, but it appeals to right-leaning kids instead -- the end destination of 4channers is a gooner who's obsessed (both politically and sexually) with BBC, trannies, and white women, is probably a pedo, and has been utterly twisted by irony and edginess into having no values at all.

I wouldn't say that it is harder to do so nowadays, or more accurately I wouldn't say that it has become so hard there's no point in even attempting to. Above all, a kid requires two things from their parents to turn out well: Time and care.

Most couples nowadays don't have the time to take care of a kid anymore, as they basically require a dual-income to keep a middle-class livestyle, which leads to either an unattended kid (something that can easily you in trouble with CPS), hiring a nanny, which is unaffordable for most people, or them being enrolled into school/childcare almost as soon ad they can walk, which links to my second point. Lack of care.

In terms of care many people don't know how to take care of a kid, in many cases because they themselves weren't taken care of by their parents when they were kids. Kids that barely interacted with their parents, who don't know who they are, who don't know how to react to negative situations, as their parents never told them how they did it, who were never taught the value of discipline, s their parents were never there to punish their mistakes or to reward their successes, who can't connect with others who are not exactly like themselves, as they never had to live under the same roof as someone with whom they had disagreements with. They were either given regurgitated lines, like how "getting a college degree would set them up for life", or that "only in the large cities is there opportunity", or they were thrown into adult life with no previous life lessons as soon as they were 18.

It is a massive ask for the zoomers and younger millenials to try and set all things right once again, but not even making the attempt has proven to have even worse results. Asia shows it, with many of their elders dying alone, or even destitute, having to work well into their twilight yeats, their democratic systems being starved of any solution (where there are), as said solutions would negatively affect the old people. In Europe it is almost the same situation, talks about slashing pension funds, increasing the retirement age, increasing immigration (until recently), lack of workers in vital sectors, villages dying out as all of their youth moves to the city, stagnating economies, lack of social interaction, etc, etc.

All of those problems I believe have to be tackled before they become endemic, because it is far easier to try and stop a trend the less precedent it has and the less ingrained it has become. China implemented a one-child policy, and after they removed it, almost nothing really changed, as the idea of having 1 or no kids became the norm, and thus their population is now rapidly aging and their young are bitter aganist the old.

There being fewer people won't give them more resources and room to grow, if their will to live and to endure the negative things that life has also takes a hit along with it

Honestly I'm far more worried about Gen Alpha than I am about Gen Z. I thought the education system couldn't get any worse, and boy was I wrong. Being an older gen Z a couple years away from the cutoff age of millennial I remember the shit I had to go through growing up in a rural school district in the south. The school was full of spics, niggers, and rednecks. That went as well as you can imagine, but honestly considering it was a rural area it could've been WAY worse and its 100x better than the shit in urban "schools".

I'm sure some of you have seen the current testing scores for middle, and highschool averages in the US and how they're going down. This is beyond just a "more low IQ people immigrating" problem since it seems to be affecting white children as well.

A modern nation that does not invest in its children will fail, and I just don't see how these kids are going to be able to compete internationally or be useful besides brainlet jobs. The only "saving grace" with this is it seems no matter where you look at on the world map its fucked but countries that have better investments in their children will weather the storm better than we will.

Another thing affecting all races is single motherhood. I don't even want to discuss the fucking shitshow that is black and Hispanic single motherhood, but the rates for whites is slowly, but steadily increasing every single year. Considering how anti-natalist a lot of gen z women are (I legitmately have a very hard time finding a gen Z women that's wants kids, even some of the religious ones want to wait till their late 30s) its already tough enough to have kids. Even if people have kids people are so terminally online the discourse between sexes is becoming unbearble which will lead to even more broken families. I won't be surprised if white single motherhood in the US reaches 1990 black levels soon.

Literally almost every black kid I considered a friend growing up either had a single mom, or a stepdad with few exceptions, yet a shit ton of my white friends did too. I don't know if this is the result of living in a town where people go "Where? Never heard of it" despite living 30 miles away or if this is truly a national trend. Oh and my expierience with my parents wasn't rosy either to keep things simple.

Why do I mention this? Well if Gen Z suffered from very similar issues but Gen Alpha is suffering from them more I really don't see a lot of hope in the future. Now I'm not a doomer since that is redudant to living a good life, and I ask anyone who is why haven't they just grabbed the rope already if its so hopeless, but I can't just sit here and deny reality.

My hope is that Gen Z destroys the retarded instituions the boomers and millenials set up, but I highly doubt that would actually fix anything because we will likely set up our own retarded instituions. Considering the political flavour of my generation for those terminally online (ie:80%+ of gen Z) is either complete political apathy, "communism dindu nuffin wrong", or "I totally believe we can set up a white ethnostate in a country that will have a white minoirty in a few decades" I don't have much hope in the poilitcal future either.

I do wonder though. I'm not sure if Gen Z has the balls to actually do anything more violent than a campus protest assuming the bread doesn't run out. Could we have mass scale political violence like civil wars, bloody protests, and the like in the future? Or has modern man truly turned docile?

For a while now I've been hearing underage drinking/weed smoking is going down, however I've had my doubts how accurate that claim is because iirc the bulk of that information comes from anonymous surveys in school, it's been a long time for me but when I did it me and just about everyone else flubbed it, after all I'm just a black Yiddish teen who is addicted to heroin and absolutely will not touch booze or ganja, at least that's what I answered. However that claim at least as weight (more for lower alcohol consumption) because when you are underage drinking and smoking weed is a largely social activity, the youngins are all shut ins who dont go out to party so less drinking with your friend who stole a bottle. Weed similar story but 1. Weed getting legalized across the states makes it a lot easier to get and 2. The culture towards weed has shifted to being a lot more favourable.

As for vaping it's in the same spot cigarettes were before they found out it was bad for you. Lots of people do it because there isn't any (immediate) consequence and who does like a little nicotine mixed with those disgusting fruity ass flavors. Yeah exactly, who’s gonna (even anonymously) admit “hey yeah I smoke weed and drink” to their school? If most people do they’re probably gonna search the students’ bags or some shit or get their parents to keep a closer eye on them. As for vaping they tend to only really do it cuz of social/peer pressure. A few years back I talked to someone who vaped so maybe it’s changed since then but they said they only do it if everyone around them is. School’s went pretty hard on vapes and how bad they were in 2016-19 when they were first getting big so that’s probably why it’s not as bad as it was with millennials/older Gen Z

The Millennials are the children of the Boomers and resemble them pretty well. The difference is, the Boomers are the original entitlement generation, they were able to be all lefty in their youth, and are now socialists where it benefits them, and conservatives when it doesn't. The Boomers have the "I got mine" mentality, whereas Millennials never got theirs, so they're just going to stay lefty because they don't really have much to lose.

I mentioned in another thread that I honestly think that both the spite directed towards Gen-Z and the spite they dish out to other generations would result in them just being boomers all over again. Maybe its just a direct consequence of 'cultural revolution'; to ultimately become 'the boomer' quite disgracefully as opposed to having an air of timelessness like generations before.

Another food for thought is that there's a severe sense of alienation that comes about from a shared feeling, from the extreme lefties to the extreme right, that society and the economy is just a corpse being propped up, and the dynamism is merely a front that died when they came of age.

Simply put, the economic future is bleak for zoomers with the prospect of A.I taking jobs that they were previously hoping to have as a kid not too long ago, mass immigration, the decrease in worth of degrees, the skyrocketing home prices, drug addiction (which is pushed by their favorite influencers and given a platform by their politicians), and politics being the only thing that gives the majority of them worth.

Its quite a shitty position for them to be in, to be young during a time of some normalcy, then it sharply degrades as you come of age. There is no reliable leadership as everything changes, and everything around us is designed to suck out your time & attention. It could either be the generation where everything changes because of that shred of normalcy many can hang on to, or, like the millennials, they take it on the chin and perpetuate the cycle somehow.

I offer some copium for the former possibility.
If you're more inclined to the left: The worsening living conditions, alienation of labor, fierce competition between corporations, and AI and technology creating a subset of disaffected people without jobs or purpose sparks a revolution. Whether or not this will be effective is yet to be predictable.

If you're more inclined to the right: A third world war would create a set of battle hardened men who remember the dejection, the alienation from their identities, and with a new sense of military-like organization, actually front a fascist (as in the notion of synthesizing the past with the future, not the shrill tyrannical government definition) movement with prospects of success. The past attempts at this from the alt-right, the groypers, etc. have all failed because there was no discipline, no understanding on how to organize and consolidate power, and no cohesion.

A defeat of the more nationalist nations in this conflict will not have such an ideological cleansing effect as was seen post-ww2, there's a lot more nuance to this potential conflict than Russia/China is fascist and wants war to manifest their destiny. Nationalism, and maybe a bit of fascist ecstasy is required from both sides to gather up the troops and win the conflict.

I don't really see the current paradigm going on for much longer, and these two are really the logical ideological conclusions or responses to the end of history politics of the early 21st century, assuming trends continue.
