Personal challenge;
@Troon_Patrol, do you have
any positive interaction story with a Black person?
Yes, of course. Chris Rock always talked about there are "Niggers" and "Brothers". Typically black people over 50 fucking love me despite the age difference and we get along great. There are exceptions to the rule going both ways. IDK how closely you follow my posts but the car towing story "Grandma" and "Dad" I treated with respect and was in tern treated with respect and understanding, they even apologized for the shitheads they brought to my front door in a literal and metaphorical context. I later found out "dad" wasn't around much and that's why he spawned a shit head with shit head friends. I was now "drafted" to become the father in teaching them there are consequences to their actions as Grandma telling them not to piss off the neighbors was not heeded and mom was a shithead herself, lying to her own mother about her daughters actions for some reason.
I was raised in a liberal state, in a liberal county, in a liberal city. I was fed all the typical bullshit in public school, "I am product of my environment" "I am not responsible for my actions" "I lack a male role model such as my father and that absolves my actions" etc. And I took the bait, swallowed it and never asked if "roots" was factually accurate when played for us in the classroom. My Parents or grandparents never said the word "Nigger", I do not say the word "Nigger/Nigga around my wife or family". Around 14-15 I got into libertarian values, I found myself being told what to think and how to think, I found myself in High School assemblies about not using certain "bad words" an assembly I was kicked out of for standing up and yelling this is violation of the 1st amendment and personal freedoms to think and say what we feel.
I started working jobs that took me to the inner city and deal with the public. That is when shit got real, I saw how the other half lived. Sucking welfare sitting around all day watching TV, EBT cards, shitting out kids. The lack of responsibility bothered me but the unprovoked racism directed at me is what lit the fire. "You in the wrong neighborhood" "Fuck you, white man" . I work in tough industry, there are many sides to it but when you are in the field you are on your own, it's up to you to handle your self if someone pulls a knife on you, tries to rob you, steal from you. I think you can already guess when this happens it's 95% niggers.
I'm bothered by the entitlement more than anything, as I see it as the core cause of where we are at. The media is just there to sell advertising, the interesting things make you want to pay more attention. I am hardly any expert but, my theory is given the fact there has never been less of a value on teaching/learning U.S. history combined with media never being more powerful especially in terms of social media and a smart phone being literally free, we have this combination of a narrative. They want to make you mad, they want to make me mad, they want to make everyone upset and polarized because it serves the purpose of us wanting more media.
Perfect example, Charlton Heston. Typical evil white man, loves guns hates niggers, right?
Oh but whats this... what is he doing marching with MLK in 1963 for civil rights?
I think that's Harry Bellafonte on the left, IIRC you love classic film I'm sure you know.
MLK was not perfect, he fucked around on his wife and dabbled in socialism, the gateway drug to communism but, even I will concede his general message was "Just give us a fair shake, you don't have to love us, you don't have to give us special privileges but, take our job application with the same consideration."
It's 60 years later. And the exact opposite is true it's illegal to discriminate against everyone except strait white cisgender men. Men like Charlton Heston. RIP Mr Heston. I got to see him in the flesh years ago at a screening and Q&A of some of his best films and got close to the limo never got a chance to shake his hand. Also fuck Micheal Moore for destroying his legacy. Never trust a morbidly obese man trying to teach you about how socialism/communism is the solution. We keep sliding into this world where George Floyd is a Martyr, never OD'ed on fentanyl/amphetamine, OJ Simpson didn't kill 2 people because one of the officers said "nigger" once on camera, Treyvon Martin never owned an illegal firearm, never was caught with burglary tools and women's jewelry. It does fit the "narrative" the media wants, they want you mad, they want me mad because now were watching the adspace for shit we don't even want.
Nothing I've said here is anything I haven't said before in KF. I'm disgusted when people tell me what to think, I'm disgusted when trusted public officials bend the knee instead of given equal punishment for crimes (See Kim Foxx/Jussie Smollet). Of all things I am disgusted when people lie to me, when the FBI states they will not longer publish race/crime stats because "computers and passing data is too hard nowadays." It creates entitlement, rewrites history that's why every police interaction video we see in this thread someone is acting like an utter shithead and blames institutional racism, personal racism and says they can't breathe.
I think I've more than answered your question. I want your thoughts on George Floyd and what caused his death. Was the social reaction justified?
