Diseased TV Tropes community

There was a series of this in Walking Dead where the second another black person showed up it was like an episode or two before the previous one would die.
Suspicious, sure, but that's not "Why does the black guy always die first???" which is what the trope is named after. Since I was a kid I heard people comment on that plot beat but almost never saw it myself.

You can tell how desperate they are to propagate the idea of black people dying first in media with their page about it. Half of them are "Well, actually he's not the first to die, but the first major one to die or the first in a specific arc to die or was the only black guy and died." or are ones where they note a black person doesn't die first.

That was always one of those things I saw people talk about way more than I ever saw it in action.
To be fair, there is a time where that cliche seemed to apply to fucking everything but it's a dead trope now. I'm half surprised they still have it as is instead of renaming it or something.

Most genres have some cliche like that. Like in a slasher movie it's always two teenagers fucking, or at least used to be.

From what I can tell of the article, it's actually what TVT calls a “Dead Unicorn Trope,” a trope that is considered particularly cliched nowadays but was never actually commonplace in spite of the culture's modern view of it. It’s up there with the idea that the butler was the culprit in most old murder mysteries or that aliens stick probes up butts, so most depictions of the trope tend to be parodies or subversions by nature.

From The Dangers in My Heart (BokuYaba) YMMV page:

Who the fuck wrote this? BokuYaba is filled with fan service, the main girl is sexed up left and right. The manga has shit like this every other chapter:

Every now and again they do make some good decisions.

So, I've been looking around in some of their older threads and to the surprise of nobody, we're responsible for indirectly harassing their userbase. And they also covered the furfag incident that we all didn't asked for.
That's cute that they believe mild criticism is harassment. This isn't a lolcow thread, take it up with those guys.

Wait. They actually read this thread? :story:

Boy, oh boy, that's reassuring. I was beginning to think that our uber secret, mega classified harassment campaign wasn't working.

Hi, guys!

So, at least 2 years ago, I found an thread with an troon whining about their life. I was just archiving their userpage and their forum posts and it turns out that they were around 15 or 16, which is shit that I initially didn't know. Needless to say, this made him fucking paranoid to the point that he probably had an panic attack IRL.

Don't feel too bad. If they could, they'll do something worse.

All you can do is hope shit like that becomes a learning experience for them. The Internet is a shitty place, and the people on it are not your friends.

Yeah, they actually blanked their userpage and left it that way for an few months...And then they reverted it back after that bit of drama had ended. Plus, either Fighteer or one of the mods gave everyone an really brief lesson on internet safety

Making this compilation gave me cancer AIDS and I'm dying now.
I never looked into TVT beyond reading the occasional section of a piece of media I have a particular interest at that moment, I got lucky since I never saw any of this absolute fucking dogshit even on less niche topics...

Echo chambers are the antithesis of learning.

For the record the shit we find is just the tip of the iceberg on the dumbass stuff the site and its autistic users do.
