Furry Fandom and Drama General

Currently it's like pulling teeth for people to move to another site. There are tons of people who cling to their precious Xitter accounts because they have a tonne of followers there and God help them if one day it ceases to exist because who knows what Elon Musk does to it each week. Best not keep your eggs in one basket.

If they've got objectively good moral values, are emotionally stable, possess cognitive thinking and are capable to experience non-perverted aesthetic and/or romantic interest towards real-life people, regardless of their sex, then they're not a threat to society.
That's a lot of ifs. You can hardly expect Joe Average you meet on the street to possess even the first three, much less Joe Chronically Online.

Touché. I guess that's just the kind of Joe I desperately want myself and the people around me to be. However, I believe that it'd be particularly hard for Joe Furry to posses all of them because of his nature - furries are generally leftist hippies with contradictory moral standards who dwell in a social environment with little to no criticism and encourages self-expression, regardless of how crazy it seems, therefore they think they can say and do whatever they want and won't stop before they know that they're about to do something stupid. They've also got unusually high libido, which they don't seem to know how to hide. Be it Don Bluth's films or disinterest in girls or boys at the young age that made their sexual interest shift towards animal characters they saw in cartoons - I have not idea.

It's more to be their social ineptitude of societal norms and practices, if nothing else.

Brother Azron was right, though exterminatus is probably the only solution.

And if you missed it, or the update in the Flashgitz thread; the Safe for Australians edition of the Bluey episode.

I think the only reason Fur Affinity decided to do anything about diaperfags is because of the payment processors. If we didn't have to worry about pay processing, then there would still be diaperfags on FA.
Even then, if the old message leaks are accurate, it was at the behest of dragoneer that they didn't get the boot. With him gone, they have zero protection.

The bar is awfully low for furries in regards to not being terrible people, and most of them still struggle with this.
Most of them have a childhood full of abuse, neglect and sexual abuse, to the point that I'm starting to believe that higher functioning autism is partly environmental. Some are at least aware that they have an absolutely fucked sexuality, but most are deeply stunted and unable to process reality and how they appear from the outside. Personality disorders abound. The bar is pretty high from where they start at. While having the capacity to know better than to post some of the shit they do, subpersonalities and strong voices take over like someone who is fukken drunk out of nowhere and it comes out.

I genuinely feel bad for the few of them who try, especially in the environments they end up in. The rest can get fucked. I don't want to powerlevel too much; exposure to mental health cases has made me as sympathetic to some as it has brought disgust in the majority to levels I didn't think was possible.

50/50 dealing with sexual abuse or other outlier experiences through a "safe" proxy, or persistent negative experiences dealing with real people. I should really start keeping receipts.

It would be hilarious if this spurs a sudden surge in crypto usage.
That's a bit of an unknown, though as far as FA goes; Advertising or promoting cryptocurrency (or NFTs) is against CoC.

3.5 Do not promote crypto currency and NFTs

Fur Affinity does not allow for the promotion of crypto currency or NFT platforms.

Most are still quietly invoicing through Paypal on their own sites or private commissions. It's not like the PCI train stopped, it just killed patreon 10 years ago and everyone else is feeling the effects now. The real issue is with the holding companies that bought or already owned these sites and the other assets they hold. Also foreign governments but I don't know shit about that. It's the oldest rule of being american, nothing is illegal or immoral as long as no one finds out. Companies follow that to the letter as long as they profit from it.

Sounds about right, paying off Russian artists through a third party like Boosty has been one of the few viable methods to get around the sanctions when it comes to fiat.

The PCI, as far as I can tell and have heard, is more concerned with the visible than the invisible for now. Hypno content is a bellwether of what is a concern, and that would take a few paragraphs to explain why in a believable way.

You can't just say that and not give us those few paragraphs.

Fa doesn't really have much of a relationship with payment professors. They have fa plus which is more a joke service which I doubt makes them much money. All their actual income comes from advertisements. I don't think whatever they use to process advertising payments cares they could even just be using ach.

It's not like fa has anything to do with user to user financial transactions.

I'd bet they don't care what payment processors think. If anything they are concerned about their own legal liability or other countries blocking their site.
