I have very strong thoughts on this topic, but in the interest of not incurring another threadban, I won’t go too deeply into it…
Without being too graphic- Trump lives in a white world. Like Tiger Woods, all of his extramarital liaisons are/were white women. He (like Tiger) knows better than to mess around with a sheboon who’ll run her mouth to a tabloid immediately after. So Kamala (or anyone who looks like her) is absolutely off the table.
These are not nearly as pathetic as the bumper sticker I saw that featured the elephant and (I shit you not) “Republicans for Harris/Walz.”
I lived in Boston during Trump’s presidency, and I wore my hat damn near every day. Outside of a dirty look here and there, the vast majority of reactions I got were overwhelmingly positive. People coming up, complimenting the hat, and whispering how they agreed. It was obvious that they were too afraid to openly express their views on their person themselves, but applauded someone else for having the balls to do so.
Reminded me of the Ring Dings party scenario from Seinfeld.
This is one of the clearest indications that he won the debate.

I'm curious, why did ABC agree to play ball with the Dems? I thought many of the establishment media leftists were against Kamala because she aligned herself so closely to the progressive camp of the Dems. Internally, it seemed like they were content to let Kamala fall on the sword and focus their efforts on 2028. For ABC, it makes them look even more like clowns, especially as you said it exposed the moderators for their bias trying to go by their script.
If Trump anoints Vance his pick for the nomination it'll be very rough for any Republican that tries to fight it without drawing the ire of the MAGA base, regardless though the ball is in Trump's court. Even more so if he wins and can fulfill his word on some of his promises. But I think Ron could still continue on in politics, maybe another shot at POTUS later down the line, but he'd probably do better locally, maybe running for one of the Florida senate seats.
Listened to his justification about FDR being in the top 5 "best", it largely seems to boil down to him president at the right time. Getting to be the one that oversaw America winning WW2 but for me that isn't enough for him to be in any sort of top 5 "best" presidents of all time. I would have swapped him out for someone like Eisenhower.

@HackerX it would be no exaggeration to say Jackson was the 1800 equivalent of Patton. A real hard ass but loved by his men because he gave a dam. The very first time he organized a volunteer army to reinforce new Orleans he was told to disband and expected to let his men fend for themselves. He said fuck that and earned the old hickory name by staying with the troops on the hard trip back the way they came to Nashville. He then proceeded to break every Indian, Spanish and British force he faced afterwards. (He's the reason we own Florida after kicking out the Spanish)
The battle of new Orleans was his finest hour and very kino. Jackson Scraped together literally every possible Ally he could get: from local militia, frontiersmen, free blacks, Indians, and French pirates (the swashbuckling captain directly volunteered the cannons and gunners to Jackson. it was a beautiful friendship) to form a 5000 man force against 10000 vet red coats straight from the Napoleonic wars. It was an absolute slaughter.
Jackson picked the best possible defensive positions, launched constant guerilla warfare attacks using the Indians (at one point launching a simultaneous land and warship raid on a British camp) and goaded the Brits into frontally attacking one of the most fortified and heavily armed killzones of the era. They lost 2000 dead and their commander in one day before getting the hell out of there. Jackson lost at most maybe 60 to a 100 men, accounts vary wildly but it was extremely light and it was widely believed a miracle from God that so many men came back to their family's intact. It was such a complete victory over the British the public at large believed he won the war despite the treaty technically ending it before he even fought the battle. He was very very good at fighting.

I'll bet you this particular vet was an officer who embodied and justified the Chair Force stereotype. Every military person I've spoken to, enlisted and officers both, have openly admitted that moving through the ranks as an officer quickly becomes a political game. The charitable interpretation of this, is that some people are such big fans of Kamala and how she presents her policies, they want to follow her world tour like fans of the Grateful Dead do. There's a danger in this. By getting a majority, or even just a large portion of the Republican votes in early, that tells the Democrats exactly by how much the ballot printers must go brrr. As @Useful_Mistake posted earlier in the thread, there is already news articles out talking about a Red Mirage. There is no doubt in my mind that ballot printers will go brr this election cycle.
The notion scares me, but with the assassination attempts, and going after Matt Gaetz for digging into them, I am willing to believe the Establishment is this desperate: What is to stop them from openly printing so many votes it it is plainly apparent as fraud, even to those previously unwilling to believe any fraud took place? The rumors and bits and pieces I have gotten on that aren't painting a clear enough picture to say for sure. There is conflicting info between what her staffers say, what ABC employees say, and what Harris herself has drunkenly said. My take away from the bits and pieces if I were to construct it into a cohesive narrative is:
Harris wanted to run on feels but was convinced a debate was needed by her staffers
Staffers contacted ABC and informed them that Harris would establish pro-uniparty policies during it.
Harris agreed to a few non-prog bones to throw to the Uniparty (This one is hazy, ABC employees -insist- she agreed to something and that David Muir was heard yelling at an exec "She fucking agreed to it" but what the terms were is unknown)
ABC agreed to the terms, likely seeing it as at least getting something for their side out of an election cycle they were otherwise doomed for.
The only clear things are that Harris agreed to something. what the general structure was supposed to be, and that Harris completely fucked up hard.
