Community Munchausen's by Internet (Malingerers, Munchies, Spoonies, etc) - Feigning Illnesses for Attention

I followed Minerva Siegel for a while; I never posted her in the thread because I was never sure if she was an actual munchie faker or someone with legitimate health issues that just exaggerates her conditions.

Her husband seems to make an awful lot of money for a blue-collar guy with tattoos. He supposedly does something with biohazard waste disposal at a major corporation. They have a gorgeous restored Victorian home and she enjoys every comfort, including an electric wheelchair, a fully equipped van, expensive makeup and perfume (which, wouldn’t that aggravate her autoimmune conditions?), dinners out, and an endless parade of hideous dogs that all have expensive health problems. Her story has been consistent in terms of her illnesses and she doesn’t go to extremes like a lot of the munchies here do, but her house is full of narrow stairways and in no way friendly to someone who needs a wheelchair. She’s also lost a ton of weight since I stopped following her, so I suspect she’s on GLP-1s like all the plus-size influencers. I don’t know how much she makes as an influencer or an author, but she credits her husband’s good salary and benefits with her ability to enable her munching receive excellent medical care.

He works at a brewery and they bought that house in 2019 for $149,000.

(West Coasties, can you imagine getting a 2500 square foot Victorian, across the street from a park, and 6 blocks from Lake Michigan for $150k???? Even if it IS in Racine.)

Allyson got a FND diagnosis and is trying to make it sound tragic. Poor Allyson, forced to play medical whale a mole.

She's somehow conned a therapist into spending eight hours a week at her house because she's too autistic to go anywhere (except Starbucks or restaurants). I don't really understand how she's getting this paid for.

And she continues to take bafflingly egg-like selfies.

Dianna update, this is from her members-only Patreon (please note I am not giving her money, this is a free post, albeit members-only which makes archival difficult). It's one of those "there's progress but she's still sooooooooo sick you guys, we will completely forget about this 'progress' in a few weeks":

She shaved her head in June (showing off her extremely healthy scalp to boot) but she has a full head of hair again in this picture posted 2 days ago. Methinks this is an old photo and they just hope you forgot she shaved her head?

Also Patreon update (and refresher for those who haven't seen it), looks like the livestream didn't move the needle. The first big bump (from ~900 to over 12,000 Patrons) happened when she posted this video, the second bump occurred after she posted this update video, but the recent livestream she did didn't seem to really have any effect. I'm not counting her out though, she still has over 16k Patreon subscribers, and with a suggested pledge of $5/month she's easily making well over a half-million dollars a year right now lying in bed doing nothing, and that's not counting whatever residual revenue she's getting from her extremely ad-friendly Youtube channel.

I wonder how many munchies (or future munchies) look at Dianna's success and get inspired.

i love the idea that she is taking 4 hours of naps a day because of 'autistic burnout' rather than the massive amounts of sedative medication shes taking.

I always wonder what the CFS people mean by bed-bound. Like are they claiming to shit in bedpans? Or that they need to be transferred by a CNA to get to the toilet? Obviously most of them are getting up and going to the bathroom like a normal person.

Do actually ill people claim to be bed bound like that? I've heard of wheelchair bound and house bound from legitimate sources, but I don't think I've ever heard bed-bound to describe a non-munchie. Obviously we've all had the flu and been stuck in bed for a few days so it's a thing, but I've only run into the term bed-bound from munchies (oh and my 600lb life lol fat).

The closest thing I've heard to bed-bound in a medical setting is bed-rest, like for high risk pregnancies.

Damn, I was actually wondering what she’s been up to lately

“My therapist is going to come three times a week and we’re going to do IFS, shadow work, ERP, art exploration therapy, etc.”

Allyson, no! :cryblood:

Either an acute situation or end-of-life in my experience. If someone's long-term "bedbound" and not frail and elderly, their family and care team is going to work on adapting a chair so they can have mobility. Even if they can't self-propel, there's a big morale boost from a position change and a change of scenery.

Well, I know how Dr. Henderson gets away with it.

Cervical instability from hypermobility is real. It's a common problem in down's syndrome. It can cause debilitating problems. The severity of which are largely subjective.

Suprisingly he actually, legitimately can be recommended by legitimate doctors for surgical management.

Hypermobile neck + subjective symptom reporting + lying about the failure of conservative management = surgery.

The munchies and hypermobile hypochondriacs are a minority of his patients.

Her case is so bizarre I legit thought it was genuine at first.

She’s an attractive young woman who just got married. Running a popular YouTube channel she likely has a lot of fun doing.

Why? Why would anyone choose to trade that life for “bed rest” and the munchies

Really mind boggling.

Well, she clearly does not spend her life in bed. She doesn't have the broken hair and sallow skin of someone who's stuck indoors, in bed 24/7.

Reading through this thread taught me that "just got married" is a common trigger for munchies. Denae, or someone spelled a bit like that, started acting out on her fucking wedding day. Poor man didn't even get a honeymoon iirc!

My guess is either they are afraid of not being a little girl anymore, and of taking that next step in adult life or they like to have a man-slave locked in before enacting their plan. Another option is some mutually beneficial fetish or something similar but my brain doesn't enjoy mulling that one over too much considering gross Rose (or Bee Crisp) and the implications that can be drawn from that.

This one, I'm not sure what the full deal is though. It's not like she had to worry about getting a "real job" if she was successful. Maybe all of it is the expression of a bpd attention whore?

Edit to add link to Denae posts because sometimes you just need a moron posting tardfaces for attention to brighten up a gloomy Sunday: https://kiwifarms.st/threads/muncha...ies-spoonies-etc.29936/page-872#post-17347924

As far as I can tell that's it. She snagged a caretaker and can now munch to her heart's content. Perhaps she always wanted this.

It definitely doesn't seem like "enough" to start munching though. That's what fascinates me about Dianna, she has this successful Youtube channel with millions of subscribers, she got to go places and do things many only dream of, she was doing well for herself, her channel was constantly growing, yet she decided munching all day was more fun than making videos. Maybe this was a calculated grift, as we know she's making way more Patreon bux now than she was before, but I just can't believe that.

Just came across this on Instagram. It's by @chro𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭lyalicia, or 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐬. I don't even know where to start with this.

Non-epileptic seizures don't exist. I know this because in all the testing I received I learned there is only one thing that defines epilepsy. Having a seizure. Two people with epilepsy can be on different types of medication, have different triggers, and have different kinds of seizures more often. (IE: Grand mal vs absence seizures). So what the hell is a non-epileptic seizure? A...doesn't-have-seizures-seizure?

And of course in the comments she's crying about medical proffesionals ~iNvALiDaTiNg~ her because she's oh-so special she can have a disease even when the doctors say she doesn't!

Here's another video. Wow, don't you hate it when your "pain flares" make you dance and flop around a bunch?

Don't worry, she's living her spoonie nightmare though, since she gains little support for every post and instead everyone is shitting on her for her obvious lies. How long until she makes a vent post about how it's because of Medical Misogyny?

I wonder if they were planning to start having kids after they got married and she changed her mind, but didn't want to admit it to her husband or herself. She could be doing with long covid what April in the fat women thread did with food (minus gay Mormon husband).

Oh my stars, she's a perfect tard.
One to watch for sure.
