The Haitian nonprofit going after Trump isn't shocking given those sensitive faggots went after Rockstar and forced them to censor Vice City as I detailed a while back here. It's how I even knew they existed and weren't just some crazy voodoo gang that Rockstar wrote up; well... they honestly behave the same if not worse than VC's portrayal so good job whoever represents them. Idk if they are the same ones but that's irrelevant to how funny it is.

I can appreciate how leftists fixated on a couple specific election laws in one specific region of the country that were used to stop negroes from voting, and leveraged that against all election laws in general in order to facilitate fraud.
Nobody believes that presenting ID to vote is something blacks are somehow able to do in Canada, Jamaica, the UK, and Kenya, and every other country in the world they inhabit, but somehow excludes them from the ballot office in the USA. And since nobody believes that, when you claim that "racism" is why you oppose showing ID, removing dead voters from the rolls, and such, we know that you're just lying and working an angle.

Yanukovych fudged his election and the Western Ukrainians had enough of it. Yanukovych responded with pretty brutal repression tactics, with help from Russian mercenaries on his dime, and the EU supported Euromaidan. The EU made the mistake of telling the Ukrainians they would support a revolution of sorts, only for the Russians to go "o rly?" and the Europeans came crying to the US to fix their mistake when the Russians rolled in.
The US State Department took off its glasses, rubbed its eyes, and realized the EU created a huge mess. Obama refused to give Ukraine lethal aid because he knew that supporting Ukraine to the hilt was a stupid idea. Ukraine is a corrupt country and there was no way to prevent Russia from winning a hot war. Still, Obama gave some aid to try and help them as much as the US could given Ukraine is not a NATO member, and given that Russia was far more interested in Ukraine than the US. Trump started selling lethal aid to Ukraine because the Russians kept fucking with Ukraine; his strategy was to challenge Putin to a staring contest and sorta worked for four years.
Then Biden-Harris come in and, for various reasons, Putin thinks it's do or die. Putin is also kind of an idiot who fancies himself a military leader when he's not. He is an effective bureaucrat and that was his entire career. He was not a spy in the KGB, he was a desk jockey. The invasion happens and the Russians completely and totally bungle it. I think that Russians genuinely believed Ukraine would topple in a few days and render sustained US support for Ukraine a moot point.
Since the US already supported Ukraine this long, and the Ukrainians turned out to be a lot spunkier than expected (they actually stayed and decided to fight instead of stealing everything not bolted down and running away), we decided "fuck it." This war allowed us to observe how the Russians conduct war, see how some of our equipment works against their military, and weaken their military overall without a major loss of life or materiel. You can replace bullets, you can replace guns, you can replace jets, and you can replace bombs. You cannot replace lives.
Should the war have happened? No. I think Biden being a drooling idiot (especially with respect to Afghanistan) made things worse. However, people who blame the US for starting this are ignorant and did not pay attention to the conflict until 2022. They repeat nostrums of conspiracy theory circles and, usually, start rambling about the gay agenda and Jews. Or they start quoting Chomskyites, or Chomsky himself, whose political writing has not been relevant since 1979.
Russia invaded Ukraine. They did not have to. The mental gymnastics involved in putting the responsibility of this on the US are eye-rolling.
The only alternative was to let Russia get away with its attempt to invade and take over a sovereign country, which is not an international precedent that the US wants to allow. The only responses to this I ever hear are long, winding, and seething arguments about America being an evil empire run by Jews. They fall apart when faced with evidence contrary to their assumptions and their /pol/-tier infographics. A few hundred pages back in this thread, I pointed out that the Iraq War was about getting rid of Saddam because he sponsored countless violent terrorist groups. Some people said "yeah right" and then they went very quiet when I posted evidence of it. It's all so tiresome.

It's about ratings the next 6 weeks as much as anything. If people believed Trump was running away with it there'd be no reason to tune in the cable news to watch people argue and ad rates would plummet. Campaign season is big business for the networks, they need it look close.

The "criminal charges" against Trump and Vance won't do anything to them, but it will have a chilling effect on the residents in Springfield. Now people will be even more afraid to speak out and voice their complaints about migrants; who wants to risk being "criminally charged" for speaking out?

What a crock of shit, you can't file "criminal claims" like that, it would be a civil matter. Secondly, it would have to be untrue, thirdly, you'd have to show damages, and trying to link "bomb threats" to Trump would be difficult. It's easy to cry over Sandy Hook parents while it's less likely anyone's going to really bend over for Haitians.
