Since everyone seems to think now's a good time to update their predictions on whether Nick pleas...
He's going all the way, for two reasons. The first reason is that there is no way Nick is going to take responsibility for his own actions, even if he could just spin a yarn in public afterwards about how he was set up and the county railroaded him so he had to plea. This motherfucker hates taking responsibility and he would be so obviously and indisputably owned by being forced to admit, even if just in a court, that he is guilty that I don't think his ego would allow him to do it. There would also be detractors and Kiwi Farmers there in-person to watch him plea and that would just be salt in the wound. The second reason is I think he assumes that he's not at risk of serving any meaningful amount of jail time, no matter how badly the judge and the legal system are biased against him (in his view), and so the consequences will be minor. After all, he's not some white trash heroin junkie, he's a lawyer! And wealthy, and an internet celebrity, and a white man. There's no way they can throw the book at him. From his perspective, he probably thinks the damage to his reputation is a bigger problem than any possible hard legal consequences and he thinks doing reputational damage control is a bigger priority than anything else. Except cocaine and threesomes.
