It’s such an odd thing with Chantal that she’s self-conscious and timid out in the real world but breaking furniture on camera only gets a shrug. I’m not surprised it happened with the way she slams herself onto it, over and over and I know I shouldn’t try to impose normal behavior onto Chins but HOW is she not embarrassed? You want to do better but you can’t really do much better besides not literally ram and bounce back into it without a thought of how heavy you are. By the time you are that fat you’re numb from your body. One day you make a joke about being a bed breaker but then you take out your fingers and start counting. You run out of fingers, how can it be 12 beds?!?? You feel bad because many weren’t yours and you didn’t say anything and your bed right now has a huge dent in the mattress and will cost a lot to fix. You feel bad about the new little air b and b that had such a hopeful futon until you were the first to sleep in it.

You hope they put it together wrong and can tighten up the middle perhaps, but what were you supposed to do? You spent all your money and had no where else to go. You could have taken the mattress off and slept on the floor but it was so much work, surely they would have a bed big enough for all travelers, it can’t be that flimsy, they’re a business.

Then you lose weight and your butt hurts more on hard seats! The agony of the human condition. And you look forward to a new forever bed that you won’t break and now you finally “get it”. It really was my weight, I had no idea it was that bad….
