I'm with you here. I swear those devs are proud of that their games are so big that you can only fit one or two at most at the same time on the hard disk/SSD.

Playing games at 4k is honestly a waste of resources.

Same for Ray Tracing IMO. It's such a huge performance cost at, for me, not much of an improvement. Most games look good at this point, devs need to learn to make games fun again instead of improving graphic fidelity.

I'm banking on the diminishing returns curve becoming so flat and so much of performance being dedicated to pushing vanity pixels soon that I'll never have to buy hardware again.

Same. I'm so happy that my 3060ti will most likely last for much longer than i expected, bought my new PC originally just to last out the current console generation. The graphics arms race will stop eventually. I still game at 1080p 60fps even if the card and my monitor are capable of more.

The PS Vita's screen was 960 × 544. It is amazing what small screens can get away thanks to pixel density.

The Switch 2 screen will probably be 720p because knowing Nintendo they'll want to use whatever is "good enough" to keep production costs low and save battery life plus it would be in line with backwards compatibility with the Switch. Still they might surprise us with a 1080p screen but I'm not betting on it knowing how their hardware philosophy works.

This has to be the most disposable video game bundle I've seen yet. $500 for a PS5 Slim that has no disc drive with a $70 sports game that requires a $80 subscription to access the majority of its features, on top of the game being dormant on December 31, 2026. I'm sure people that like 2K already have a PS5/Xbox Series.

If it were any other group of people I would assume this is bait but I've seen way too many batshit snoys who act exactly like this. Also there was a mod on nexus that restored sounds (intended as a temporary fix until the emulator autists can get it to work correctly) which did include actual files from the game and it got mysteriously taken down right around the time the guy was threatening to report this to sony.

I know in the Alpha/Zero games you can set the speed and adjust the input timing.
Maybe try playing with those settings.
