It's meant to be when someone is being racist in a covert or subtle way, such as an employee following the only black customer around a store under the assumption they're more likely to shoplift than the white customers or when someone tells an Asian who was obviously born in the West that their English is impressive. But these days you can use it for anything that offends you. You can claim that not being able to pronounce something is a microaggression.

By the way, since I'm replying to your post, your writing with Autumn's characters was nicely done. You took the basic concept and made it interesting and unsettling. You did more with it then Autumn ever will.

First off, your writing is amazing, Autumn should really take notes because character design is far more than just making glorified fetish furries. Sadly getting her to read ANYTHING other than crappy ao3 trans fanfiction and braindead social media posts is impossible — she could use some media literacy.

I believe she may have taken inspiration from the “Brother Bear” movies? But those are grizzly bears. This appears to be a black bear… maybe? A spectacled bear with thicker markings if not? Both of those bears do not have that large skin protecting their throat like grizzlies do. Black bears appear to have them, but they just have thicker, jacked necks. Perhaps she might’ve confused it for fur?

That's a very good point.
I looked into it and I think I figured out what the issue is.

I know it's not a grizzly, but I've seen enough reference photos where the bear is big and fluffy enough to have a similar pattern.

Every artist has a "blueprint". This is usually due to the fact that certain shapes and strokes become muscle memory at some point. It's easily fixed by doing research and using references. Which we know Autumn never does.

True true, 3 drawings is too little to really develop a pattern. She could have had a bunch of unfinished sketches on the backburner, but knowing puppy she'd very likely post them. Gotta get that attention somehow.
