Young blood might be misleading, but there's a fair share of 50-something people that can bid for President in 2028 without the Biden baggage. See: Newsom, Whitmer, Andy Beshear, Buttigieg, and even Josh Shapiro.

This doesn't make a ton of sense unless they plan to exclude marijuana from their indoor smoking bans. Cafes were popular in Amsterdam because those were the only places you could legally buy and consume cannabis outside of your home. In California, Oregon, and Washington, people just smoke while they walk down the street without repercussion from police. Why go inside to smoke when I can do it on the street?

Newsom is really banking on the Trudeau effect, as would Beshear. As for Gretchen Whitmer? Let's be frank, she's not touching the presidency with that first name.

And they'd be going against a seasoned JD Vance in that situation.

I'm not saying they'll win lol, they just have a better chance. Their options this year were a corpse or the most unlikeable bitch ever. Anyone other than them will be a huge improvement.

My bet right now is that they are going to run Mark Kelley, he's pretty much the poster boy that the Democrats are holding up and doesn't seem too insane.

They'll continue to inflate the numbers and astroturf her campaign so it looks like support is high, then they'll blame it on not enough people going out to vote (or will dump a million votes on California and say that Kamala won the popular vote, just like it happened with Hillary). I truly don't see them pushing for a steal with Kamala as they did with Biden. I've said it before, but Biden was one of their guys and he actually seemed a lot more likely to win. Despite his incompetence, he was Obama's VP, which gave him a huge boost. I just can't see it with Kamala, especially because Kamala is so despised by TPTB.
