I flat out refuse to look at metoidioplasties. I don't know what it is about them, but I find them absolutely disgusting. Which is weird, because I can handle looking at AmHoles that look like someone took the guy's penis and ran it through a blender, and I can handle looking at a rotdog that's literally decaying and rotting off, yet I can't stand to see metoidioplasties. Honestly, I think it's something visceral about seeing a mutilated woman, the rot dog is a total conversion, it's just something entirely foreign and cornenbergian to my lizard brain. I think Marci Bowers is probably one of the few SRS surgeons that wants there to be an actual standard of care and no more wild West. This isn't the first time he's spoken out against the trans orthodoxy. The TRAs will be so mad if this new recommendation gets popularized.

Yup. Bowers is only trying to backtrack now because he's seen the horrible results that's ensued and realises that it's putting the entire trans movement at jeopardy if people from the outside actually start evaluating SRS/GRS as a treatment method. This is trying to save what can be saved essentially. He knows that more research is being done from people who traditionally stayed out of the trans movement and all the gaslighting in the world won't stop that.

Honestly, I just don't get why anyone would want that. I get that this surgery is less risky and don't require you looking like a burn unit patient, thus also more stealth in public, etc.... but the absolutely best case scenario here is that you'd have something that looks like a little boy's penis. What's the point of that? What adult wants a 5 years old's penis? What are you going to do with it? I don't get it. At least with the rot dog there is some promise for something that resembles a grown man's penis.
