My theory for why he always starts late is to let people pile in to get as many around as possible before he starts.

Marty is really good at getting Cyraxx to show up on stream. Better than if he was merely leaving it up to Chance/chance.
Cyraxx often shows up shortly after Marty starts, presumably having been prompted by buddy trolls.
I suspect Marty decides when he's going to stream and then makes the final arrangements necessary for the guest of honor to arrive.
