It's still far behind Yuzu. It's quite slow in comparison. For them to try this now the Ryujinx code must be a good enough starting point for a Switch 2 emulator for it to be a problem for Nintendo.

A faster emulator can be that way because of hack-y (often per-game) workarounds that end up being detrimental in the long term, compared to more robust, accurate solutions that eventually make the emulation better across the entire library of games in the long term. It's still far behind Yuzu. That's happened with quite a lot of emulators over the years that ended up falling by the wayside. So comparative speed today is not a guaranteed indicator of how mature an emulator is.
An early theory about their attack on Yuzu was that since all Switch 1 games should be backwards compatible with Switch 2 but running better on the more powerful console, Nintendo wanted to squash the emulation scene now. "Run your Switch games at 1080p or heavily upscaled to 4K!" hits less hard when you have YouTubers showing off PC emulated Switch games at 8K with ReShade raytracing (silly as the results may be).For them to try this now the Ryujinx code must be a good enough starting point for a Switch 2 emulator for it to be a problem for Nintendo.
An even dramatic example was UltraHLE, which emulated a few popular N64 games at good speeds way back at the beginning of 1999, but was structured in such a way that it ONLY worked for those games.I mean jesus fuck, look at Project64. The most hacky pile of shit on the planet and it took a long time for people to put serious effort into accurate N64 emulation.

The Switch 2 is planned to be based on NVIDIA's Tegra 239 processor: https://www.tomsguide.com/gaming/ni...leaks-reveal-new-design-and-big-news-on-specsFor them to try this now the Ryujinx code must be a good enough starting point for a Switch 2 emulator for it to be a problem for Nintendo.
Definitely.Nintendo is worse than Sony and Microsoft
Im retarded but i have the bundle files i got from a very recently forked mirror. Some autist probably has the source somewhere, I expect another emulator to crop up sometime soon.
Whoa whoa whoa. Nintendo is being shitty, but let's not be retarded. Xbox won't exist in a generation because they suck so much at everything, and Sony is just a constant barrage of the stupidest shit ever. Nintendo makes actually good games you can pirate even if you don't like them using old versions of the discontinued emulators they tried to get rid of, but the other 2 don't even have anything worth pirating.Nintendo is worse than Sony and Microsoft
Nintendo just rereleases its games with new coat of paint while actively preventing access to old games (or reselling them with a full price tag). Just compare fan reception to closing the Vita PSN store and closing the 3DS store for the scale of the insanity.Whoa whoa whoa. Nintendo is being shitty, but let's not be retarded. if this guy doesn't leak all of the source code a week after the checks clear and claim that he got his laptop stolen a week prior to making the deal then he's a fucking retardthe thing about this is the guy is from brazil where emulation shit is legal, and everything there is hosted there so nintendo would get a "lmao get rekt" response if they tried something, so this mustve been a deal where they paid him a decent amount of cash to stop working on this emulator.
I don't follow the emulation scene that much, but what does this actually mean? If the emulator is working to an agreeable standard and it was publicly available for years, Nintendo can't do shit about it. People will just share the link for anyone interested.
How far along is Switch emulation?
Good news, the secret switch 2 emulator already exists and runs great, however its a secret so I cant share it with youPraying to god that Switch 2 emulation goes underground. I'd be pissed if I had to play Nintendo's games at 30fps on a cheap tablet again, all because some retards thought it'd be a good idea to scream from the rooftops about their shiny new emulation project.
NO SHIT WE SHOULD CONTINUE DEVELOPMENTSo uh, when will @Null fork the source code and host it on kiwifarms for kiwifarms to continue development of the emulator?
Okay, I am being a little silly. But I mean, we can talk all we want about how this sucks, how the developers should have developed anonymously on the dark web, or whatever. But it comes to nothing unless a complainer stops complaining and starts taking action.
